A quick note on the newer Zara cardi, its by no means as uncomfortable as it looks. Its a lot more screen accurate than their first one with a thicker collar, pockets and a more fitted feel (i had to get a different size) and while its not as soft to touch it doesnt feel horrible on. Buttons aside its also a lot closer to the Tom ford version than a few knocking around here.

The missus bought it for me for xmas and i didnt have the heart to tell her it looked like an itch-fest waiting to happen. I've since worn it a number of time and had no trouble at all. Owning both if i had to pick one to wear i would go for the newer one. For £30 if anyone sees one in their local Zara i coulnt recomend it enough.

All this talk about cool hand luke has me craving hard boiled eggs. :))

Don't talk to me about eggs...I just found out I'm allergic to them over the weekend!! That sucks!! I love eggs!!! :)

I any case, I went to Jcrew yesterday, only to discover that they are completely sold out of the navy cardigans and were only left with white ones. But upon closer inspection, I saw that irregardless of the colour, they don't even come close to the TF, Magnoli, etc, etc, etc....The cardigan I saw looks like way too much knitted sweater as opposed to cardigan...much too thick and ungainly. Luckily, I found exactly what I was looking for at the Gap nearby; navy blue (because even though I know that the TF model was black, I try to wear as little of it as possible), tight fitting, didn't look like a wool sweater...The biggest difference being that it had less shawl than the TF cardigan, but still enough to suit my tastes. Best of all, 60 bucks because of a sale. Anyways, my urge has been satisfied and now I'm moving on to my next project: the Tux. Even though I have no upcoming or foreseeable formal event to attend, I believe that every man should have one in his closet, waiting to be released and unleashed for the necessary occasions :)

Just found this... looks very close apart from the pocket detail on the LHS pocket (when wearing)

I can't believe I was near a gap outlet this last weekend and totally forgot to drop in. O well.

I bought the shawl cardigan and the white shirt short sleeve shirt from magnoli. Really disappointed with both items. The shirt has been back several times and the fit is still not good (really baggy arms when asked for a fitted finish) and the cardigan was very short and looks cropped. You can justify the expense if the fit was good but it really isnt - and I'm average height and an average to slim build. I would recommend buying a shop alternative as you can see what you are getting and save the money. Drakes of London do a good shawl cardigan but its very expensive. There are plenty of shop alternatives and I genuinely wanted the Magnnoli to deliveron what it said but it was an expensive mistake.

I have always said that 350 USD for a bland cardigan, without all the details that the TF has, is V-E-R-Y expensive. Magnoli's cardigan is worth 40 USD.

I just bought this from L.L. Bean, nice "light" sweater. The gey one on the model is not at all representative, look at the blue picture.

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find the following cardigan, and I've basically searched through all of google and there's nowhere to buy this. I know this is by Trussardi 1911 (most probably from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection), and I saw a white version of this from a website, but even that was out of stock...

    - Do you know anyone who can do an exact replica of this?

    - Or would you happen to know of any fashion websites that might be able to help? Especially those that sell older/vintage items?

Here are the links to the cardigan I'm looking for:

If you know someone who can make this, I have other high resolution photos of the knit pattern of this cardigan. I am willing to pay a good price for this so please let me know and thank you so much for your time and help.

TK Maxx currently have close shawl cardigans with similar buttons to the TF (in black) by John Partidge. The fit is good and it's in a wool blend, at £40 a steal!

Not really my style (I'm looking for a Casino Royale Venice one) but for someone after this it's as close as I've found yet.

    Alas,

I've only seen it in store (in every one I've been in however here in the UK and it's in every size).

I'm visiting there tonight so will take a couple of pics.

As promised, TK MAXX UK John Partridge Cardigan:

They have it in navy: (looks better quality for some reason)

And black: (black chunky knitwear never looks black really IMO)

Full body Navy: (chinos are Topman grey slim ones believed to be used in Skyfall enjoying death scenes)

Collar: (slightly less ribbed, like the QOS one)

A nice piece in 80% lambswool for £39.99! I'm wearing an S but would happily buy the M too.

That's actually pretty great. Shame that it can't be bought on the Internet, as I live in DK.

Can you provide a bit of personal data so I can see how it fits? You were wearing a small? What is your height and weight, if you don't mind =)

    Thanks a lot!

I'm gonna go ahead and ressurrect this thread. Just watched QoS again and think it's about time I picked up one of these cardigans. Magnoli doesn't sell them at the moment and it seems like the recommendations on the thread have long gone. Anyone know of any current similar cardigans?

    Reviving.

Fall/Winter is on the doorstep and I would love to own something as close to the TF as I can. Is there anything out there besides the Magnoli replica? I'm not sure I trust it due to the old review thread and beyond that the price went up to $330.

I found that on my search, but I want to find other alternatives as well. Anyone wanna help?
