There is a scandal running in norwegian papers now. When ships are so old they must be disposed of, they are sailed to Bangladesh. Then they sail them up on the shore near the city of Chittagong. Then workers (often young boys) climb onto the beached ship and start tearing it apart with very basic equipment (sledges, blowtorches, crowbars)There are no safty regulations, of course.
It looks very cinematic and Chittagong beach would be a great place to stage a fight/chase.

Just have a look:

Yes. This is the sort of thing that should be featured in Bond movies, rather than imo the Craig's villain's lair base suggested on another thread (though that one did sound cool).

An idea I had was fridge city - you know, loads of fridges dumped uncremoniously. You could have some body been dumped in one of them. Or tyre mountain - get someone thrown off the top then a load of ringed rubber chucked on him. :o

The Norway ex-shipyard puts me in mind of that famous Turner painting.

As far as I know, the biggest ship wrecking place is in Alang/India but I agree, that is may look good in a movie in the right context.

It may be, that the producers are afraid to copy the wreck sequences of the QM in Hong Kong from TMWTGG
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Thanks! my point exactly. This is exotic, dangerous, cinematic and an interesting enviorment to stage a fight and/or chase.

But the beaches are in India and Bangladesh. The norwegian safty laws are a bit too strict for this kind of thing. :s
