QoS Suits

I know that they are by Tom Ford but would like to get an idea of color, cut and style.

The only information I have are as follows:

1. Charcoal 2-button suit double-vented, cuffed pants.
2. Black 2-button suit, cuffed flat front pants.
3. Black shawl collar 1-button tux.

Anyone able to add, subtract or correct, I would appreciate it.

I believe the Tux is actually a very dark midnight blue

It appears per Duncan's article that the suits are custome and worn without belts.

"The suits were made from a rare fabric, similar to what was used for Sean Connerys suits in the sixties. Hard to find and very expensive. The shirts *may* be already available, but the screen used ones would have been tailored to Daniels specs."

"The suits were worn without a belt and used side adjusters."

I for one prefer a belt.

I think the thing with the screen worn suits are that the cut is sharp as a knife. Compare the Brioni blue pin stripe from Casino Royale compared to the Tom Ford version seen in the first part of QoS. A belt may ruin the appearance under the jacket.

A belt definately looks better, I agree 100% as trousers look odd sometimes without one. But if the jacket doesn't come off, then side adjusters are the way to go. Especially with a suit as fitted as this.

Duncan, what do you mean by "the cut is sharp as a knife"? I do not understand that term.

    Thanks

    No probs.

What I mean by this is that they are really fitted suits as opposed to perhaps the slightly more relaxed style of Brioni.
