QOS Question

Dominic Greene sports a very obvious red thread around one wrist, which is very noticeable throughout the film. Is it some comment on Greene being Right On and With It, or is Almaric another adherent to that Kabbalah thing that Madonna's into? And if so, why so prominently display it on a baddie, in a Bond movie?

But then, seeing as Kabbalah can be spelled Quaballah (or something similar).....;)
