Hi im trying to find out who makes the Over Coat for bond in the last scene of Quantum Of Solace when Bond is talking to M ??????

Hi, i to am looking for a similar coat to wear with my suit, so far the only similar looking ones i found on the burtons website

I picked up a similar coat at Old Navy for $70. While it's not an exact match, it's close enough for me.

I have the 3rd coat in the line up the premium -classic version, its a fantastic coat , great for the winter and very Bond ...

I am not one, for dressing exact to Bond but I like the man's style and I do tend to dress in similar fashions but put my own spin on it or my interpretation of it. I dont like buying the exact whole outfit and sunglasses etc ... if I was to do that it would only be fit for displaying on a manequine in my collection as a replica of the film used outfit.

no i dont think it is. I also have a very similar coat to that one when he shoots dryden, in Fact i was wearing it today in town.

I must admit the replica I have of the one he wears when he shoots Dryden is closer to the film than the other coat I have which resembles the coat from the ending of QoS

I took a look at one of these TF coats today... fit me nicely in size 40, even though I usually wear a 42. The price tag did not look too nice -- $4140.

Magnoli can probably make a replica for about $600. I have several photos of the coat's details I can post if people are interested in that.

No problem. Apologies for the quality of some of the photos -- I was trying to take them quickly in the store and didn't have time to switch to macro mode on some.

There are two interior pockets on the left side -- chest and one at trouser pocket level.
The buttons are the left exterior buttons, but are passed through the buttonholes on the jacket's left side, allowing the jacket to be neatly worn open:

Have a look at the photos of the coat, check out the collar-no collar tab which the TF version appears to have?
Just checked out the movie again, the coat should go down to the knees and has 2 buttons on the back. It has no buckles/straps on the cuffs and no belt. Sounds to me like a standard, double breasted, military style overcoat-just with a whopping great big price tag.
Looks cool though:)

A little off topic but when looking at that pic, I believe I have the right leather gloves for that scene (unless they are TF). The pair I have is from emporio armani and is part of their (product)red line. The stitches line up EXACTLY and so does the color and fit.

Just need to poiny out that the overcoat in your pic is the one worn when Bond goes to Mitchells apartment in London and is not the same one worn at the end of QoS.

Nope, it's the TF one with the 10 front buttons. As you see, there's nothing on the cuffs and has 2 buttons on the back. And in a high-res version of the photo, you can see the throat wrap behind the left collar.

I would say given Bond's Navy background and that it is longer than a pea coat, TF was inspired by the Navy Bridge Coat and gave the collar a more modern look.

I think that coat is rather nice, just a shame its not in black... well found. am i right to assume that if you undid the top buttons it would open like the one DC wore?

That River Island is a great approximation given the price. I'm still unsure if the coat in the movie is black, dark charcoal, or even navy blue -- lighting can easily make this difficult. I've always been under the impression that the Bond costumers preferred to put Bond into navy colored clothing because of his Royal Navy background. From a personal standpoint, I would prefer a dark charcoal or navy coat as it's easier to wear and match with various suit colors.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Ford also supplied the gloves. However, without better shots of the gloves, it's tough to tell if there's anything special about them, as they appear to be your fairly standard leather dress gloves with the back seams.
