Anyone know the make of the sunglasses Greene is wearing on the pier in his conversation with Medrano? Brown frames with broad, flat temples. (Screw Bond's eyewear ... I want the villains' gear!)

Your welcome.
Whatever happened to the days when a henchperson would just give you sunglasses (like Grace Jones did to me at her birthday party in '85)?
Me thinks there might be a story there if you'd like to share.
Did anyone know that Grace Jones attended the QoS premier in London? I was waiting round to get one of the posters off the crowd control barriers (which I did - nice keepsake if not exactly pocket sized) and she turned up after everyone including the Princes had gone in. She had 2 or 3 people with her and it looked to me like she had trouble getting in 'cause of security and all.
She didn't hear or chose not to hear my shouts for her to come and sign my autograph book (unlike Judi Dench Robbie Coltrane and David Arnold who's signatures I got. I Also got at least 1 good phot of Barbara Broccoli Jeff Wright Judi Dench Olga Matthiew and some bloke called Daniel Craig).
Still I was glad to see her and get a photo of Grace - as at the risk of being controversial - AVTAK is a great film!
But I digress ...
In '85 I attended the AVTAK premiere in San Francisco. (It was a much easier feat in those days ... hell, the theatre only had 1,200 seats!) Afterward, there was a cast part at Maxwell's Plum (a well-known eatery in SF ... though it originated in NYC [I always thought it odd that most of the premiere events that day took place in locales not particularly related to The City])
I wasn't connected enough in those days to go to Maxwell's, but I was a member of private nightclub (The Trocadero Transfer) where Grace was to celebrate her birthday following the cast party. (I met Jones well before she became May Day as Grace often performed at the Transfer, sometimes unannounced.)
I still have the party invitation (of course):
She showed-up about 2 AM with Dolph Lundgren* on her arm and wearing what had to be May Day's sunglasses. I eventually made my way to where she was holding court and when I asked if they were indeed the specs from the film she said, "Yes ... would you like them?" and gave them to me!**
A great moment, yes, but I have to confess, I found out later that Jones was a "spokesmodel" for L.A.Eyewerks, the company that made the frames, and I actually suspect she gave away dozens of pairs.
*Though Lundren appeared in AVTAK, he was essentially an unknown and little more than Jones' Boy Toy (they appeared together in a nude pictorial in Playboy that same month) at the time. I'll always remember someone standing next to me at the club, watching the two of them, and commenting out loud: "That boy is on drugs he can't even pronounce."
**My other odd souvenier of the night: In course of getting his autograph, I wound-up with the stubs from Walter Gotell's tickets!
Now I don't want to cause an argument of feud here but Grace was one of the last people to arrive at the QoS Premier. I have some photo's of her that I took and if you want to PM me I can send them to you.
Did you attend the QoS World Premier then? Did you come to the UK just to go to it? I only got to stay outside in the freezing cold for 9 hours - no black tie for me!
PM me your e-mail address if you'd like and I'll send you a link to the photo's.
After London, I have to say San Francisco is the place to be in any decade ... for about 72 hours. That's about how long it takes me to get fed-up with the traffic and parking hassles.
Wasn't looking for an argument! Honestly thought I remembered her name coming up earlier in the evening. PM sent regardless!
I did indeed attend the premier but I didn't fly over just for that, there were the Harrod's windows, too ....
