"We wanted to make James Bond seem a bit less accessible," said Louise Frogley, the film's costume designer. "With the original James Bond, you always got the impression you'd never be able to buy his clothes, and it's all slightly mysterious where he gets his money."

    :s :s ?:) ?:) ?:)

That doesn't strike me as her approach at all, aside from the suits. The blue polos, the white and blue jeans, zip up jackets, etc.... although I guess tacking the Tom Ford label onto a bunch of products does put it out of reach of the regular folk.

Like her or lump her, Lindy Hemming was the true expert at style elegance that seemed absurdly out of reach.

Interesting article - I'm surprised they couldn't find the mohair tonic they were looking for though. Being a "Mod" I know several others who shall we say blessed with more money than I have -and they generally get their tailors to find the right sort of material for their bespoke suits. :D

... and some people called me an elitist :))

Am I the only one, who is a little disturbed by the fact, that this "dark" and revenge-seeking Bond is pretty often found dressed up very casually and then is on a plane in an extremely elegant suit on the plane.
I would accept this for a meeting with M or a party with the villain, but on a plane?? And on a plane to Bolivia??

Additionally, I find this suit way too elegant for the young still not fully established Bond, that DC is supposed to play.

The same question applies of course to the DBS which is out of place in this context, too but hey, I am enjoying to see it being driven very well. {:)

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
