Bond´s automatic gun

In the beginning, in the car-chase sceen Bond uses some kind of smg and shooting on a car so it´s driving out from the mountian road. Anyone who have seen this?
You know in America it’s “bling, bling”, but out here it’s “bling, bang”.

It's an Heckler and Koch UMP-9.

I think it is an interesting choice to use the UMP in 9mm. The real benefit of the UMP was the chambering in larger caliber, such as .40 or .45. There is very little weight loss benefit in the 9mm and the rate of fire is slower. The only reason I can figure they used the 9mm model is it is probably chambered for 8mm blanks for safety reasons, and because H&K are trying to boost the profile of the UMP. Otherwise, an MP5 is more readily available from any agency in the world and has a much faster rate of fire.

That is just my two cents.

Maybe Bond does not want to damage Mr White's leg too badly? A .40/.45 at close range would not be too pretty at all.

9mm is a very popular round in Europe. Also, there was some debate a while back that Bond may have picked up the UMP from one of Mr. White's men while in Venice (all of this occuring in Casino Royale). Then it wouldn't exactly have been a choice. But I wouldn't feel outgunned with one.

Since oo7 stopped off to pick up a new Aston Martin, I would expect that he also obtained the HK from MI6.

He already had al this gear in CR so it should be the same suit en gun as what he had in the closing scene from Casino Royale.

Yeah, a few more zeros were added to the price of his wardrobe.

If you want a replica, chances are you will have to custom make one. Only the .40 and .45 caliber model have airsoft versions at present and Rings Blue guns
does not make a rubber version of the 9mm yet either.
