Great article.

I believe the Sta-Prest are zip fly, right? In that case it might be better to recommend an alternative other than the Levi's 501's, which are always button fly. There's other ranges they have which have in white with a similar fit to the 501 but with zip fly.

The 501's are indeed a great pair of jeans tho Mantis - I totally agree with you as they are quickly becoming my fave as well.

Great article Mantis. Glad I am not the only one who tries to go for the 007 "look" without breaking the bank. I agree that €1000 is so over the top for a cardigan!

Of course he has I found it in the Y-3 outlet store near to Firenze in Italy. Actually I have offered one on the forum.

Another option for the beige denim is by Tommy Bahama. I have the Indigo Palms brand and they are soft, very comfortable and reasonable priced.

An unfortunate report from me, re: the Target chukkas. They seem extraordinarily cheap, and have no support whatsoever. Going to give them a "do not recommend". If you must have them they are called "Josh" chukkas, $39.99.

H&M do a navy blue polo made of a stretchy material. Looks just like the tom ford/sunspel one without a pocket, fits great and looks good (especially if you have the guns for it). A total budget bargain at £7!!!!

Gap, Easy Fit denim jeans! Great cut, look just like the Levis. £30! (quality is not as good so you may be better off paying extra and going for the Levis)

Zara cardi with changed buttons £30. (enough already said about this).

Seem to be loads of lookalike jackets out there in UK high street stores, just need to hunt around a little.

If anyone is interested in a GREAT alternative to the Tom Ford jacket, head to your local Brooks Brothers. They have their own version of the Harrington Barracuda in dark navy.

It has knit cuffs/waist but is a GREAT jacket with an incredible lining. Best of all it's on sale for $148.00!

I didn't see it on their website as I think it's from earlier this year but well worth looking for. If your local store doesn't have it, ask them to put in a search to other stores...

The tag reads "Brooks Brothers Country Club Harbour Jacket."

It's a dead-ringer for a dark navy Barracuda only it has a light blue glen-plaid lining. It's a VERY high quality jacket in 100% cotton.

I put it next to the 7 jeans and colorwise it appears to be spot on to the Tom Ford!

It's very limited on the website and stores since they recently put it on sale at $60. You might find it at the larger BR stores.

Not quite sure if it's the same Banana Republic jacket because of the black color hiding details, but if it is, someone appears to be selling a Medium one for $15 (toward the bottom of the post).

i must warn that the collar is very different, but the pocket is there its a fine feeling cotton(not pique) and it is well fitted. I reccomend.
