Felix Leiter's QOS Watch

Having seen QOS now four times I'm almost positive the watch Felix Leiter wears is the Hamilton Khaki X-Wind Automatic chronograph. Hamilton was at one time a storied American watchmaker who's vintage pieces are highly coveted and sought after. It's too bad Hamilton is now owned by the Swatch Group (Owners of Omega). So that makes the Hamilton Swiss, not American. The X-Wind is a very good watch from what I've read and still carries American cache, a very good choice for Felix. Here's a link:

You are right that is a(n) X-Wind by Hamilton. Hamilton makes nice watches. That watch will set you back around $900 US.

Sharp eye, and you're right, it is a great watch. At once rugged and stylish - very American.

Yeah, the rivets on the watch band were the first tell. The watch face looks spot on too. I remember reading about the X-wind in one of my watch magazines too and ,as I recall, it had great things to say about it. Now if I could just find the magazine. That's the problem with collecting, if you want to be knowledgable about the subject you collect you have to read a lot of books and magazines. Recalling the specific magazine can some times be a chore.

HauteLook has an X-Wind on sale for $737... it looks like the yellow/brown version, but not the black face. Still, a good buy if anyone wants a version of Felix's watch. It's another one of those "invite only" sites, but the link should let you sign up to access the sale.
