Can anyone who has been lucky enough to get one (whether from T+A or TK Maxx) post pics and a list of what should be in the box altogether for comparison purposes - eg does the shirt and tie come with some sort of certificate?

The two items come in the same box. The collectors here will be shocked when they find out that I (GASP!)...threw out my box. But I remember it was a black box that had an outline of Craig on the front and the requisite 007 logo.

The shirt has a black label inside the shirt which states:

    Turnbull & Asser
    James Bond 007
    Limited Collection
    Casino Royale

The shirts themselves are not numbered on the shirts but I do remember seeing a card or something in the box that had my shirt number written on it...but I can't find it. Not sure if I kept that either.

I just hung the shirt up in the closet for use and tossed everything else. Hope that helps though.

Finally bit the bullet and bought one off ebay. size 17, paid £90. Arrived yesterday. The material is amazing, seriously, feels and looks really good on. The only downer is that it is huge on me ??!! I always buy a 17 shirt purely because I have quite a big neck and the collar on this is perfect but the shirt is very very baggy and definately needs to be altered. I read on Mantis website that he had done the same. I would advise all that if you pick one up, keep in mind that you may still need to have a bit of work done on it to get the fit dead on. Apart from that I am over the moon with it.

Turnbull and Asser always cut the shirts big as they shrink dramatically after washing two or three times. If it is slightly too big then wash it hot a couple of times and you should find that it then fits just fine.

Turnbull created this shirt in their CLASSIC size which means fuller to fit a wider range of men...ie portly if you ask me. But its always easier to take fabric away than to add so I understand their thinking here. I had mine altered at Turnbull with the understanding their would be minor shrinkage---and there only has been minor shrinkage since wearing, washing since then. I even had the arms thinned and fitted.

Thats great, I will definately give that a go. I am getting married in August and am getting a tailoured wedding suit as a gift from the in-laws, thought I might sneak the shirt in with the order to get it altered. Can't imagine anything better than getting it altered at Turnball & Asser in New York though Mantis, that must have been amazing ! Fantastic site by the way !

Turnbull quotes on their website and with the bespoke shirts also when you order, that the collar can shrink upto 1/2 an inch and upto an inch on the chest depending on the amount of material. I've always found that the new bespoke shirts are always an inch too long in the sleeve if I wear them straight out of the box, but after a couple of washes, they fit perfectly. This may though, differ between materials, and the dress shirt is not one that shrinks as much. But after a hot wash, my CR shirt decreased size quite dramatically (out of box and not bespoke).

As for availability, keep checking this week as they are definately filtering through. The Merryhill branch did have five but were bought by one bloke about a minute before I entered the store. I was well pee'd off when I saw him with them all in his arms, he bought the lot.

Asp9mm, I have warned you about washing your shirts in the Thames...all those pollutants will create havoc on a shirt...tsk. ;)

I know, quite a bit of profiteering going on I think. Considering the original off the shelf price was £245 from T & A, I have been watching e-bay and one of the shirts sold for over £250 recently, unbelievable. Considering the shelf price at TK Maxx is £42, that is quite a mark up !

No doubt it certainly has much to do with the way I wash shirts :D But ya gotta boil 'em, otherwise you can't kill the fleas

another explanation for this miracle may be your present excessive usage of (german) christmas cookies :D

Just a follow up to my last post on this topic for those wanting to know what was in the box. I did find my certificate of authenticity the other day. It is a folded black card and it is about 2.25 inches by 3.125 inches.

On the front it has the following:

Turnbull & Asser (in their script logo / trademark)

    JAMES BOND 007
    LIMITED COLLECTION

    CASINO
    ROYALE

When you open it up the left side is blank. On the right it reads as follows:

    James Bond, Casino Royale
Limited Edition Evening Shirt and Bow Tie

    Turnbull & Asser, the world
    renowned Jermyn Street shirt
    maker, hopes you will enjoy
    your new purchase of the
    enclosed ""Limited Collection"
    shirt and bow tie combination
    which is featured in the
    blockbuster film "Casino Royale."

The enclosed shirt and bow tie is

    34 of 5000

This card is proof of authenticity of this product.

The back of the card just lists the T&A locations and says it is also available at Harrod's

The shirt number was written by hand in a silver sharpie or paint pen.

James Bond: Your contact? Not well.
Dryden: Made you feel it, did he? Well, you needn't worry. The second is...
