A not for profit offer!
Is anybody interested in one of these:
http://store.turnbullandasser.co.uk/Formal_Wear/Bow_Ties/Black_Barathea_Bow_Tie.html
for £10 + postage and packaging? They are going for £30 on the T&A site - I am not sure what they charge for p&p.

Dryden: How did he die?
James Bond: Your contact? Not well.
Dryden: Made you feel it, did he? Well, you needn't worry. The second is...
James Bond: Yes... considerably.

Baildon?
No, it's completely different to the CR one.
I bought 10 of them today from TKMAx (UK), again a surprising find - like the T&A CR shirt and bow box sets I saw a couple of days ago. So for the UK members, you could pop into your local one to see what they have.
But based on Asp9mm feedback that it isn't the same one as the one in CR, are people still interested? I can hold these for a maximum of 14 days, after that the shop won't refund them. Can those who are still interested PM me please. I know some of you have said you wanted one, but in light of Asp9mm feedback, you may have changed your mind.

Wahaay, Bond Ties after all !
Although I must admit I am quite taken by the QoS
diamond point - I presume these were by Mr Ford and thus some ridiculus price. :007)
T&A provided the bow tie but it was non adjustable and was made from a special material, I forget what it was.

Turnbull and Asser provided the CR ones in worsted silk. They released them as part of the limited edition set and that was it. They were adjustable, all of Turnbull and Assers are and have been for years now, you'd be hard pushed to find a bow tie that wasn't adjustable as they would have to be made in different sizes which is not cost affective.

Not according to the ones that have been in public exhibitions (untied versions). In fact the ones that were worn by Craig were tied to get the perfect knot and then stitched so the knot was held permanantly so that it would not slip during takes, which also helped continuity. This info maybe why you were under the impression that they are not adjustable.
The untied versions were used during the shower scene and at the end of the stairwell fight sequences.
I know someone that owns both versions and have been trying to buy them for nearly three years. The stuntmens versions were also tied and stitched, but they had elastic replacing the adjuster band. This is also backed up by a T&A employee that I'm quite friendly with.

No probs. The stitching was very crude, but good enough to hold that 'perfect' knot you always see on screen. In real life as you know, the bow sags and swivels, and is a nightmare to maintain over long periods.
Turnbull and Asser may well have supplied a couple of 'solid' non adjustable versions for the shower scene and publicity pics where the ties are sown untied, so that the red adjuster did not show. But for the most part, they did have the red T&A adjuster and quick release clip.
