I would have to agree. #1 seems to look the best. Does anyone have the original tie for comparison?

    Dan

Another thing which is important is the "weave" itself... I might be wrong on this but I'd say it's kind of a "basket weave".

Look at the darkish photo I sent you, two stripes (blue & copper) from right to left and one stripe (copper) from left to right. Look at how they "cross"...

    Great stuff.

Might be time to think about a new poll for the next project if all parties are game?

That is in hand ;) The next tie project is already in the early stages of developement.

Is it me or is the tie too dark, or is it just the way the pic was taken?

I just ordered two of the TND Copper ties. My "Magnoli James Bond Tie Collection" is growing and i am now following the new tie thread with growing interest :)

Just received the tie. Looks and feels really good quality (better than the GE tie) but seems slightly darker than I expected. I'm very happy with it though, and thanks to everyone that made it possible.

Oops, crap at IT! I'm one of the few that still don't have a digital camera, but can confirm that the tie is exactly as shown in Urhash photo on previous message. I had envisaged a slightly lighter brownish colour, as opposed to a red-ish colour. Emphasise that its a great tie though.

I received my TND Copper Ties today and must say, they look sooo good. I can´t wait to wear it at the business meeting tomorrow evening.

Thanks again for the researches that led to this fine piece.

What's the exact color of the suit Bond wears with this tie?
  • urhashurhash USPosts: 986MI6 Agent
Just as a heads up (two projects I have no involvement in) - Indy told me he's working on two ties, the Montenegro tie (from high res pics) and the finale tie (from a Ted Baker original).

That's good to hear, thanks for the info.

I think it was "worsted blue".

Finally got the tie today! Wow - it is by far the most expensive looking of all the Bond ties Magnoli has produced... it just has an unbelievable sheen to it and is dense and luxurious to the touch.

In about a month I'll get the ball rolling on - the TWINE pipeline tie!! :)

Where do we stand as for getting an original T&A one? Are they available?
