Sorry to post this here but I want to post some photo's on this forum of some QoS goodies I've managed to get despite the drought of them and I'd be grateful if someone could advise me on how I'd post the photo's
Thanks

You need to "host" the images somewhere. Based on the question, I'm guessing you probably don't have ready access to server space at home or work so I'd suggest an image hosting service. I like to use www.imageshack.us but there are quite a number of them, some charge a fee, but there are so many free ones that unless you have an issue with ads displaying along with your image (some are more intrusive than others, again, a function of which service you choose), you shouldn't have to pay.
The sites are usually pretty intuitive: Browse to the image on your computer and click HOST or UPLOAD. Some sites require that you rescale the image first because they can only accommodate files of a certain size; some automatically rescale as part of the upload (as eBay now does). Watch for options such as captions (like file size) added to the image; you will have the option of removing this.
Once uploading, some sites generate "code" that you can then post to forums like this. Proper forum etiquette (often NOT observed at AJB ... and the guilty posters know who they are ) is to post a thumbnail image linking to the full-size file; the site will give you a variety of codes for posting a thumbnail or a direct link (the thing forums usually frown on).

If you put the (img) in front of that (with square brackets) and (/img) at the end (also with square brackets, you get this...
If you use the quote button on my post and see my post broken down that way, you can see what I've done.

Don't link directly to the picture. Right click on the picture and choose 'properties', then copy the property link and use that. Then it'll work.
Use [ brackets and not the regular ones I used in the example.
replace the ( with [ then it'll work.
many thanks for your help.
