Update on your Kingston Sales Order.

    Status: Build in Process

Line Up: 042 (Order in which the order will be shipped)

    Serial Number: 005

Delivery Date: Due to the volume of the orders, there will be no specific date on delivery.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Winnie

Yes, I got my update too. My serial number is a good deal higher than yours. No double 0 for me, unfortunately. But not a deal breaker and further proof that I am in no way connected to MK II. I just like well made time pieces and I have no problem trumpeting the good work of others.

Also got my build confirmation yesterday, number 050 for me! ( thats not serial number, but number in the build process). Good news!

I'm number 56, though the serial number was still to be determined with "the lowest possible number" according to the email from MKII Watches. Has anyone gotten any updates beyond this recent round of "you're now in queue" emails we've received? Has anyone actually received a shipment notice, or better yet, their watch in the mail?

No, nothing new on this front.

Per request, I got SS# 37 that goes along with a few other LE watches I have and happens to be my racing number.

Funny, I used to race under 007 but the everyone would get mad at me and say to take off one of the "0". They missed the point completely:-) Switched to 37 to pay homage to Bond as well as the 1964 Monte Carlo Winning Mini Cooper of Paddy Hopkirk. Two birds as they say.

Just got my "heads up" email for ordering the spare parts kit for plank owners. In the slew of Kingston threads, is there already some kind of firm indicator of what parts will be available, instead of having to wait till tomorrow to find out? Bills blog states that hopefully, some will receive their orders before Christmas; I'm order number 57, so crossing my fingers! BTW, I'm glad to report that Mk II granted my request for the serial number ending in the 2 digits of my birth year :D

Perhaps my eyes glossed over while reading but are these watches still available to purchase ?
Or are they completely sold out ?

Now that's unfortunate. Do you know if there is a plan to release any more anytime soon? Or was this it?
  • texas007texas007 Houston, Texas 77041Posts: 2,356MI6 Agent
Sorry - that's it - after all, it is a limited edition of 300
But you never know it may pop up on Ebay :)

Just placed my parts kit order. It said it was for the 1st 100 orders, which they've limited in order to consolodate and expedite shipping. Yehay! I was going to order the xtra strap for $15 but because it didn't state the size (preferred 18mm), I skipped and will just get from elsewhere.

Placed my order for the kit too. No changes really. I got the same dial (C3 non date), hands and bezel as the Kingston I ordered. Can't wait, hope it comes before Christmas!

Hi. Does the buckle on your strap use a spring bar or is it solid metal? Thanks.

I think I was the first person to get my spare parts kit order in:-) I kept refreshing the browser and it opened a little before 12. Not that it matters but i was excited. I am order number 41. REALLY cant wait. What a Christmas present!

Oh, and aliasrichmond straps use a detachable buckle. You can notice the drilled holes in some of the pix above. Really a great looking strap.

Oh, I think I see one of the holes in the second picture. Still having problems deciding on the strap.

Having seen and handled both I would have to give the overall edge to Corvus. However for better screen accuracy the general consesus seems to be on the Aliasrichmond. They are both fine products in their own right and neither one represent a bad piece.

Also on another note..... I'm a bit of a late comer to the sub homage scene, and am looking left and right for one. I've contacted MKii watches to verify their cease of production, as well as exploration of alternate models. With that being said might anyone on this board be willing to possibly entertain the notion of a trade, cash/trade, or simply out right cash sale of their piece?
I'm trying to find a watch for my father who has been in the Navy for over 20 years and nearing his retirement. A watch as such would be most fitting for him. If no one is wanting to part with theirs I completely understand, however I certainly would take suggestions for possible alternate albeit quality homage pieces. Thanks in advance for those who take the time with this post.
