Church"s Vs John White Chukka

I have found that the John White chukka boot are becoming increasingly loose around the heel/ankle. Has anyone else experienced this, possibly with the Church's too?

First post after lurking here and learning a lot in the last few months. I have a pair of Church Ryders and no sign of any looseness around the ankle after a fair bit of use. I have never seen a pair of the White boots, but did buy a pair of chukkas from Samual Windsor, which felt a bit un-substantial, with the suede feeling quite thin. In contrast, the Church Ryders feel really well made and about twice the weight.

I am assured by the JW proprietor that the looseness is a characteristic of their boot and not a design flaw. In hindsight i kind of wish i had gone the extra mile and purchased the Church's. Next time, perhaps.
