The Golden Gun; Ebay

Check it out, the Golden Gun and a Golden Bullet for sale on ebay. Currently sitting at £640. If only I were richer, I really would love to add this to my collection. I wonder how much it will sell for...

Does anyone know how often such pieces come onto the market, it is exciting just to see it for sale on ebay despite the fact that I cannot hope to afford to buy it!

I haven't seen one for some months but suspect it will end up going for in the region of £1-1.5K. Roll back a year - 18 months and they were going for £2K+, but I think that people have less money at the moment. I'd certainly like one,but can't justify it right now.

Is it yours by any chance? Location of the gun is in Fife and you're based in Scotland posting for the first time. Trying to drum up a little interest perhaps ;) Call me cyncial.....

Just had a look at the sellers feedback - despite being stated as 100%, some of the comments wouldn't give me any confidence.

Several months ago, there was a new member to the forum with questions regarding selling Bond props, he then posted pictures of the original owners collection and wow what a collection this person had, He stated he was looking for information on how would be best to sell the props. some gave suggestions but the new member fell off the board, at least i never saw any posting from him again,

I contacted the seller because i didn't see the pen cap in the pictures, he responded by stating he didn't know what that was but had found the bullet inside the gun while dissambling it, the gun has some soiling to the cigarette case which will be difficult to clean, and doesn't have a pen cap , none the less the Gun is in good condition if one doesn't mind not having the cap.

I know this is an old topic, but I am considering selling my SD Studios Golden Gun (No. 362)

I also have a Living Daylights Philips keyfinder that I would consider selling also.

Before I go down the e-Bay route, I wondered if these were of interest?

I think its call "Shield Bidding" - looks like it to me - I followed it on the first round - exactly the same item.

the more times this comes up on ebay the less people will want to bid.. knowing its a bit suspect .. the fact that it was sold and keeps making a return.

Texas007, as I am not sure, if the seller reads here, so, I thought, it would be better not to point accusations directly.. ;)

    Good Point Bondtoys...

issues like this irritate the hell out of me !

the way people feel the need to tiptoe around others when it comes to auctions and items for sale...

seen it happen with Suposed original film props and vehicles at auctions etc etc .. NOT just Bond .. replicas passed off as originals under falsified and miss leading information etc .. not just in the documentation with the item .. but also in the actual auction books...

Sorry I am going off on a tangent here...

all I am saying is if somethings obvious .. and there is obvious evidence of foul play .. and rule breaking.. everyone might as well speak up .. and bring it to light .. rather than keeping quiet and then speaking up after it...

I could use a prime example of something I was involved in .. with a well known auction house.. etc etc .. but I cant realy go into it.. for legal reasons.. in a way I am glad i spoke up and disproved a certain item.... and in a way i wish I didnt because.. issues I pointed out .. were quickly fixed and changed to comply with aspects and issues... that I was using as evidence of a fake ! so i ended up pointing them in the direction of how to cover there tracks !

i know this is a far cry away from the ebay SD gun .. thats a different issue.. but i am glad it has been noticed and .. bidders will be put off by the fact that its obvious that bidding the item up was going on..

auction houses the world over are.... rife with fakes and forgery... and it will go on and on and on... and online also..
