Wanted - Vega IB339

Hello, all! New to the forums, although I've been lurking as a non-member since CR came out, great place we've got here!

Down to business, though.

I am in need of a Vega IWB holster, the IB339 (many of you, I'm sure, will know it as Bond's choice of holster in Casino Royale). I recently acquired the Maruzen P99 through a classifieds article, and fell in love with it. I find it rather naked without the holster though.

So, I was just seeing if anybody here knew of a place I could get my hands on one, or if anybody wanted to sell me one out of the kindness in their hearts?

I had the same experience with USA Hunting Supplies that WaltherPPK had. Ordered it, never got it. Asked them WTF? Got nothing but crickets.

Seems Vega doesn't care about selling in the US.
Bianchi has some similar holsters: the 6 and the 6D (6D has a thumb break though...)

It's really irritating: I want to give them my $30. I really do. They just won't take it.

Baboosi, heres a source in the UK, looks like they do international shipping, remember prices are minus 15% for you. Might stack up to do it that way, they are a reliable company.

You're sure that's the IB339?
It doesn't say that it is or even what model it is specifically, although it seems as though it could be - just want to be sure, you know

I saw that, although I am wondering if the IB332 would fit the P99, but maybe just not as well?

I saw on the IB3 size chart that the IB332 fits auto pistols 3 1/2" to 4 1/2" (Berettas and Glocks). Would that mean that it would fit the P99 (as it's a 4" auto), or would there be some dimensional difference preventing from fitting properly?

I wouldn't put a gun in a holster that was not designed to fit that gun. The IB339 was made specifically for the P99.

I see. Well, I just contacted Vega Holster last night directly to see if they knew of somewhere I could get one, or if they could somehow get me one directly from them. I'm waiting for a reply. I could always just get a different model... but being the bond fan I am I'd really like the Vega. Not to mention they just seem to be all-around well made holsters.

I also was put off by USAhunting for quite a while, but after threatening to contact the BBB I received my holster immediately.

Strange.

I placed an order for one on usahuntingsupplies.com this morning, and within on hour got an email titled "order canceled - out of stock".

Was it an IB339 you got out of them? How long ago was it?

I suppose there isn't really anything I can do at this point, and they won't answer my emails regarding their stock. Pretty disappointing, really.

Granted, it's not the same style as the Vega, but it is an open top IWB and they make one for the p99. Also, I wonder about a one handed re-holster with the Vega: not that Bond is too concerned about that. He's not cuffing people or anything: once he puts the pistol away, there's nobody left!

But what's a P99w? That's what the DH site says they have a fit for. I wouldn't want to steer you wrong.

This site www.yourgunparts.com has Vega holsters and I know several of my fellow members here have gotten the IWB 339 from them with no hassles. They are currently sold out of the 339 and the 333 which is for the PPK. However I am planing to email them to see when they are going to get more in.
