Casio Divers watch:rolex/omega type

Hi
Just to let the gang know that I have a new Casio classic Divers watch 200m /20 bar listed on ebay.co.uk - reminiscent of Rolex submariner, omega seamaster type - so a good lookalike or authentic alternative - as discussed in other threads.

This also has a very Bondian feature - dual LED's that light up the watch and can also be used as torch- similar to what Pierce Brosnan's James Bond did in 'The World Is Not Enough' when he was under the snow after the parahawk chase in his blow up coat jacket and used his watch as an illuminator - worth that gimmick alone !

cheers
Ace

    Oh hell,

my existing watch is giving up the ghost, and here is something else I want, but may not be able to afford! - Having said that, I will keep my eyes open after payday!

    Thanks for the heads up! -{

It reminds me of the new Tudor Hydronaut. Whatever happened to Tudor, no one stocks it in the UK anymore.

I agree on the value of the watch, but not the strap! Plastic ones are notorious for giving out in next to no time. - Not to mention how they mark the skin! Bracelets esp steel ones make quite a difference.

    Casio stuff is quite tough.

That is not always the case I'm afraid. I had 3 of their Data Bank and calculator watches some years ago and the lugs broke on all three.

Whereas now I have owned a Casio DW-9051-1V G-Shock for over 10 years and it's built like a tank. Been through far more than I'd care to tell.

I recently considered buying one of these myself as my work watch should the G-Shock ever come to the end of its life but it's showing no sign yet.

As with A7ce's original post, I have also bought one of these watches on Ebay. (A7ce, I did check your listing first, but you had none left!)

The seller already sells the plastic strap version, and was kind enough to send me an email once they had the bracelet version in stock.

    Cheers A7ce,

Collected the watch the other day from the Post Office, bracelet size ammended today. As good as I hoped it would be.

Incidentally the seller still has four left - their service is A1.

I went and bought the one with the black plastic strap and it is fantastic. Well worth getting if you want a Bond style watch without breaking the bank.

Does anyone know a good source for this watch in the US? I have wanted a budget friendly watch like this one for some time.

Here's a link to a source in the US:

Just picked one up - great price!

I'll wear the rubber/plastic one until it gives out and then add a NATO Bond or Camfam strap!

I just bought one of these off of E-Bay for $42 USD. I then found a generic Omega Planet Ocean Style rubber strap and switched it with the original one. I think it looks much better and is much more comfortable.
