Beware on Ebay: 007 Fanatic

Dear AJB Community:

As most of us buy and sell on Ebay, I wanted to share a bad experience with a buyer from the UK. Although my loss was small, I was still cheated and if I can save even one of you from a similar rip-off, I will feel fantastic.

Be very careful doing business with a buyer that has the Ebay nickname 007_Fanatic. You can PM me for his real name--happy to share. He bid on a WICKE P99 back in December--never paid--Ebay gave him a nonpay strike. Then, afterwards, he pays and I remove the strike. A day after I ship the item,a PAYPAL dispute has been filed and the funds frozen. Yesterday, because in an effort to be a good seller and keep shipping costs down, I did not have proof of tracking, the case was ruled against me. So, out cash and item. I hope UK customs confiscated this toy gun. So, shame a few bad ones have to ruin it, but:

a) I would add 007_fanatic to your blocked bidder list.
b) Even at additional cost, always ensure you have proof of tracking on your outbound shipments, even more important now, since Ebay has disallowed the use of money orders and checks as methods of payment.

Hope this helps. Drop a PM if you want this scammers name.
