ASP 9mm

Hello, great site and I may have something of interest for collectors. I have acquired an ASP 9mm that has never been fired, it's in mint condition with two additional magazines still in factory plastic. I believe it to be dated to 1982 or 1983. It looks exactly like the example seen in the world.guns.ru site. Rare find and not sure if I want to sell it but would like to discuss this pistol with any members who might be interested.

This thread really got my attention since I saw that Bondtoys was the last poster. I immediately thought this would be a rant on our own ASP9MM .... I was hoping to join in - even though I can't think of anything to accuse him of - except for trying to corner the market on those Morland cigarettes!!!!

Caladvwich, By all means post some pictures of your ASP pistol. They are lovely things to look at and discuss. As for selling it, best leave that to the Gun Auction sites as the laws are very complicated, and the sites feature some buyer/seller protections!!!!

But my comment was only directed to Asp9mm hyper.gif
, had no intention to kill this thread.

I was looking at this gun at World Guns website and I just don't see whats so special about it. It doesn't have hard hitting fire power with a 9mm. It only holds 7 rounds, and doesn't seem that compact or light. So Asp9mm why are you so crazy about this gun?

I guess, that Asp9mm admires the performance of his waterpistol.... 8-)

ASP 9mm is John Gardner's Bond's choice from Role of Honour to Cold.

The ASP needs to be viewed in context. In it's day it provided a slick and powerful alternative to much larger pistols.

These days there are plenty of small 9mm and .40 pistols that have taken the place of the very custom and expensive ASP.

It is a very "Bondian" firearm. As noted above John Gardner's Bond carried one.

Yeah your right, I'm comparing it to the Walther PPS but it's brand new so it's not really fair.

The ASP is a cool sexy firearm with neat features. Kinda like me but without the lady pleasing qualities I possess.

Also keep in mind that Gardner's Bond generally loaded the thing with Glaser slugs. Nasty business indeed.

Hello, sorry for the long absence, my affairs in France have kept me long overdue. as noted above I have acquired an ASP 9mm and would now like to sell it. It is 100% condition and never fired. It was part of a pair with consecutive serial numbers. The other was sealed in plastic and auctioned for approximately $9000. This ASP is not sealed in a plastic bag. It comes with two clips and the accompanying leather case. This ASP is circa 1982. I will post photos shortly. If there is any interest please let me know.
