Help with Church Shoes from the UK

Greeting Gents,

I will be in London for Valentines Weekend and wanted to buy a pair of Church Philip's and the Ryder III while in the UK.

I checked with my local Church store here in DC and was informed that a pair of Philip's were $855.00. when in the UK the shoe would be 430.00 pounds or $599.00. That's a pretty big price difference.

As a result it got me wondering,as to if there is another place buy Church shoes for cheaper while in the UK?

Any feedback would be great,
Many thanks in advance,

Stefan

Innaddition to that, I would suggest Ebay.

The sad fact is Churches ARE expensive. They are a premiere make and specialise in hand made shoes. - Like most noted clothing labels, cheap they are not.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

I highly recommend Herring Shoes as well. I've ordered from them twice and had nothing but excellent service from them. The last time I ordered from them in November, I had my shoes in about three days from England to Maryland, which was with their free shipping.

Here's a link to their website:

Where you charged any customs duties on the shoes?

Also, is free shipping a standard option?

many thanks, above mentioned information was very helpful.

    All the best,
    Stefan

I did buy from Herring Shoes one pair of Ryder III brown suede for 295£ delivered to Italy via UPS. Perfect service and good price. The Phillip costs 395£.

    Stefan,

I did not have to pay any customs duties and the free worldwide shipping is standard on Church's at Herring Shoes.

    Perfect,

Thank you gents for all the information, looks like I will be ordering from the above mentioned website. I was planning on spending
$855 plus tax for the Philip from the store in DC, but now add an extra $100.00 or so and I can get both the Philip and the Ryder III for the almost the same price.
    Good deal,

    Kind regards,
    Stefan.

If you do end up getting them from the UK i would recomend going to the Church's shop in London. They measure you feet for you there so you can get the exact fitting size (they do width sizes aswell). Even if you buy online after may be handy to know what exact size you need.

Do the sizes generally run true? I'm usually a size 11 US, though I wear a size 11.5 in Bally, a 12 in Nike and a 10.5 in Converse. Traveling to London to get my foot measured is a little out of the picture right now.

I'd suggest you try on a pair at your local stockist. Try in store, buy online.

    Good advise to live by,

    Many thanks Gents,

Yes they do pretty much. you can just get different widths to make them fit that little bit better. For example, im an 11E.
