Has anyone received the Church's Philips?

Just ordered a pair and I wanted to know how people found them ie break in time, comfort etc?

Blisters galore off mine after I wore them to work for a day. They require gentle breaking in. OUCH!!!!

Eight months on though and they are very comfortable {[]

Damn, that's what I was afraid of....ah well, no pain no gain....I actually bought them from a shoe store called Leffot in NYC.

Were they cheaper there and did they have the Ryder III's?

They were actually a little more than the UK but it was a full service shoe store and they were compelling...plus I like to support local shops.

You just had to lower the tone didn't you. We don't all have blisters on our palms ya know, and you shouldn't be proud of yours :(|) 8-)

I concur!! Wore my Philip's for the first time at a conference last week, ended up with two huge blisters (one on each heel). Agony!

Had to go back to my Ryder III's for a few days to let them heel.

They will indeed require careful breaking in.

They were absolute beasts, I was hobbling for a week. Same location - on the heel, it felt like they had worn their way down to the bone when I was taking them off. I wore them sparingly for a couple of months after that. Now they are as comfortable as any shoe that I've owned.
