John Lobb Luffield Shoes (alternatives?)

Does anyone know of any shoes currently on the market which are similar to the John Lobb Luffield shoes? The originals are (or were) somewhat expensive and I was wondering if a similar style shoe from another manufacturer are available?

    Hi all

Still seeking an alternative for these...

I have seen a similar(ish) pair from Samuel Windsor - what do members think?

As someone who tends to wear Loake shoes (and Loake do not have a similar pair in their range) I am wondering if SW are any good. Anyone any experience of wearing their shoes?

    TIA

A lot of people are going to say stay away from SW shoes, and so would I if it was suede chukkas that I wear a lot. The thing with SW shoes, they always feel more insubstantial than they look. Thinner leather etc. For those luffield-a-likes, something that you might only wear a few times a year, probably worth a punt. I have a pair of black leather chukkas from SW, they actually are very comfortable, but on a totally different level to my Church's. They look pretty smart on, but you are very aware the materials are not top notch, but for occasional use, not a problem. others will disagree, but you need to weigh up how much use you are going to put them through.

Cheers for you thoughts, much appreciated. Someone did say to me a while back that the SW shoes were a little disappointing and now you ahve said the same I think I might look elswhere.

    Thanks for your input :)

So does anyone else know of a possible alternative?

I cannot say anything about the quality of their footwear, though their suits are top notch.

They don't look bad - not too cheap but cheaper than the real thing!
