Real Bond NATO Update

I heard recently from Phoenix Straps, the company that is making the Real Bond NATO for me. The UK mill that is weaving the strap material is still waiting for the custom dyed olive-colored thread, but expects to receive it in about 10 days. Once they get the thread, they will start to weave the strap material.
So we are looking at an availability of the finished straps around the end of March. I'm sorry for the delay, but these things can't be helped.
However, the delay gives me more time to try to source a beefier, more rounded buckle to use. You can see from scene in Thunderball that the buckle is rather different from those used on regular NATO-type straps. I hope to be able to put a custom buckle like this on the Real Bond strap. If I can't get them in time, the straps will be made with the regular, high quality buckles that Phoenix ordinarily uses.
I won't start taking orders until shortly before the straps are ready.
Here's a summary of the project: The straps will be available in 18, 20 & 22 mm. All three widths will be available in both the traditional NATO G10 style and the "RAF" style, which lacks the extra nylon watch attachment strap. The NATO style straps will be 280mm with a 70mm attachment strap. The 22mm NATO style strap will probably have a 75mm attachment strap to accomodate the largest 22mm watches. The RAF style straps will be 260mm to adjust for the lack of keeper strap.

Thanks for the update. I can't wait. Looking forward to the Bradley diving watch too.

I am really excited about this project. Can't wait to sling one of these new bands through my Rolex. I especially appreciate that this is not a "bank buster" collectable!!!
