I have found the exact jacket...At Banana Republic for $90 I bought it yesturday. And I am convinced this is the actual jacket that was used. If it is not than it is a copy cat. As soon as I figure out or someone can explain to me how to share photos, I will share it with you. The jacket is callednylon bomber jacket item number 700069001 And if you look at the craig photo you can see where the buttons used to be and the button clasp tucked in his pocket. The burn marks on the craig jacket are burned just like a nylon jacket would burn, not a cotton or what have you. It is a sweet jacket for a great price.

I think I've seen the jacket you're speaking of. I'd love to see shots of it though. To post photos, I would suggest using an image site like www.photobucket.com (creating an account is free and takes about 2 minutes), then uploading photos from your computer to your Photobucket account (just click on the "Upload images & videos" button on your account page and select the photo you want to upload from your computer), then copying and pasting the "IMG Code" that's listed under each photo into your post here. That's the easiest way. But make sure the photos you upload from your computer are not huge files (I don't know if this site has a size limit, but I think it's safe to say 480x600 is an acceptable image size).
Not trying to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong, but I'd just like to back up what The Mantis has stated to MI6BOND007. The jacket that Daniel Craig wore in QoS was a cotton-silk blend navy blue harrington jacket made by Tom Ford (who supplied about 99% of Bond's wardrobe in the movie). They cost almost $4,000 each, but have never been available for public sale in the navy blue colour that was seen in the movie. If you're interested, Meesta Bawnd has posted photos of the actual Tom Ford jacket (as well as the shawl lapel cardigan) that he found in Harrod's in this thread: http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/33866/tom-ford-harrington-cardigan/
While I'm sure that your jacket looks & feels very similar to the movie one, it is an undeniable fact that it is NOT that same jacket that was worn by Daniel Craig. And I do not mean to belittle or insult your jacket by saying this. Rather, I'm happy that you were able to find such a close lookalike jacket for such a good price (compared to the Tom Ford original). The world is full of Bond fans like us who want Bond style on a budget!
In any case, please post some photos of your new jacket when you get a chance, as I'm sure that many of the members here (as well as myself) would love to see how it compares to Bond's jacket.
Edit: BTW, if you ever have some spare cash that you want to splurge on Bond clothing, Magnoli Clothiers can create a made-to-measure exact replica of the jacket for you. This is the closest that you can get to a screen-accurate jacket without paying thousands of dollars for the Tom Ford original. Plus, it will be custom-made for your body's measurements, which will ensure a perfect fit: http://www.magnoliclothiers.com/quantum-jacket-casual-p-257.html
One problem...The jacket in the photos of the gentleman look like the one wroe in the film. However they are not. If you look at the photo blown up of the craig jacket...You will not see any leather on the pocket area like the ones seen in the photos the gentleman is wearing. Usualy in films you will never be able to get exactly what the actor is wearing because they customize them sometimes. And I never said my jacket was the one that craig wore, I said I wouldnt be surprised. I meant that figuratively. But yes you are correct. My jacket cost $90 which is so much better than $4000 I could afford it if I wanted it. I just cannot see spending that type of money on a jacket. Maybe because I was not born with a silver spoon, I obtained mine much later. But I enjoy looking for quality replicas. And I do believe BR to be of a good quality. Atleast at the level of mainstream that they are. Truly, tomorrow I am going to post my jackets pics tomorrow. You will agree that my jacket is closer to craigs than the photos the gentleman was wearing and I mean no disrespect to him. I am just stating my opinion. When you see it I would like all of you to vote. And I will try and take the pictures in the sunlight for better lighting. Maybe I can get my son to pose for me. Until then my friends. one simpathises.

Is the gentleman to whom you refer in this message Meesta Bawnd wearing the Tom Ford jacket in Harrod's - or are you referring to someone wearing the Magnoli jacket?
MI6BOND007, the leather piping around the pockets was addressed in that very same thread with the TF jacket photos. Mantis confirmed for us that the screen-worn jackets did not have this detail. To clarify some confusion, I believe if you go back and read BLU8's post, you'll see that he's not saying that particular harrington jacket is the actual one used in the film, but rather that it's an actual Tom Ford harrington jacket. We've seen very few images of an authentic TF jacket here as they are hard to come by, and that's why we requested Meesta Bawnd to post photos of it. We can certainly learn a lot by the images posted. I agree with you that many items used on screen are not available for us as public consumers. Many costume designers have direct ties with designers, and they're able to get advance line items, as well as customized options. We're often left with "close enoughs," which is certainly a bummer for us sticklers for perfection. I also agree with you that BR sells good quality items, and their prices are quite nice as well. I have a hard time swallowing the idea of spending $4K on a lightweight jacket, whether I can afford it or not. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your jacket. What is the color of the jacket you picked up?
Great relpy. I did not catch the leather discussion. Mine has no leather at all and if you cut the pocket buttons off mine and tuck the flap in, mine looks exact. Infact if you look at the picture of craigs, you can literaly see where the buttons were cut off and the thread is still apparent. My jacket is black. But craigs may be navy, it looks black, so even a stickler on perfection as I am as well, I can live with that. I was pondering the idea of cutting the buttons of mine, but I do not know if I could bring myself to do so. I may be wealthy, but as I said, I started out poor. To me, $90 is a price of a jacket that my parents could not afford when I was a boy. So I still look at $90 as alot of money for a jacket, forget about $4000 I will however buy the Church ryder III boots. I was told by either someone on here or another bond site that they purchased them and they are sooo comfortable and they are made very well, so they will last. Some things you just have to bite the bullet. It is hard for me to spend so much money when children are starving etc... More people should help. You know, we should start a discussion topic about Bond fans helping out in that way and we should do more.
I'm not a fan of the leather piping either. And apparently, neither were the filmmakers on "QoS." So it was either removed/not included on the film-made jackets, or that was a detail that was added to the jackets for consumers - along with a leather collar, I believe. On a related note, I just saw a new TF harrington jacket over the weekend that is the same style as the "QoS" jacket, but it's a sky blue color with a white zipper and white accents - very striking, and a "cheaper" pricetag of $1895. Has anyone else seen this jacket yet? I believe it's been on the market for a month or two.
The screen-used jacket is, indeed, a dark blue/midnight color and made from the material that Mantis mentioned earlier. The fabric swatch on the Costume Card confirms this. Have you had a chance to get ahold of any of these? They are a great resource when trying to confirm fabric colors and materials. They'll save you a lot of headache when you're out looking for alternative clothes from the film.
And yes, the Ryder III boots are fantastic! Well-made shoes should last a lifetime, so these are worth every penny. A wise purchase indeed!
I have not seen the light blue TF jacket, I have so much pastel clothes I could build a castle. So I stay away from it. I have been trying to grab clothes that meet the batman requirement...Dark navy's and black and gray's. I also like the earth tones...Khaki, olive etc... Where can you buy the cards? Is it one of those things thats a rare in a pack or can you just buy a pack of the special ones? I once tried to find the tom welling smallville red jacket and had one of those cards you mentioned. I finaly found out that the jacket was made by carhardt j7 or something and the fabric had to me color removed seven times then dyed 3 times cardinal red. I own that jacket know and did all the work. It will never be as red as in smallville because they can tweak color on film and the card, needless to say it did not match the fabric of the actual jacket. As I said before, sometimes hollywood plays with us. And to the ealier post....
If people are in business to make money, it would not only bennifit them but us as well to sell what the actor wears exactly in the film to us. We would definately buy it. I do not understand that concept. A funny story about pre-HD I was looking for an outfit that I had seen on a show, I found it but it was never in the right color. What I found out after HD came out and became mainstream was that the color we saw pre HD was a different color, so the outfit that I could have purchased was the right color. Try watching HD and then swithing it off...navy becomes gray and so on. Like I said, they have the ability to tweak color.
To domino effect, I looked at the BR site and it is not the jacket that I bought. Mine is very different. I am trying to send CRAIG the pics but the email failed- <blownlunch@hotmail.com>:

Not sure why it is saying that, never had a problem before? Any comments. I have the pics to send to craig, just need to email them to him.
Well, I think I was able to bypass the system and send craig the emails/pics of the jacket and the bahama pants by going through my email as a door. I will know if it worked when he contacts me. If this does work, It would be nice to get all of your thoughts on how exact you think that they are. I believe that craig will post the jacket here and the pants on the Bahama post. Stay tuned...
Sweet! Thank you Craig for posting these pics for me. As you can see this is a great find for $90 and craig and I noticed some differences like the collar is a tad shorter and I will let craig say the rest since he poted this for me. But overall, a good bargain from BR. Craig will be posting the Bahama pants on that post for me tomorrow so you can take a look at those as well. Please let me know what you guys think. When I saw these items I started to drule and had to buy them. Thet do sell a perfect v-neck crew-neck white t-shirt that matches the one made by sun-spel. I think the cost of that was $15 or so. The pants were $70 So you can find replicas so to speak.
Yes, at closer look there are some differences, but it is a good buy. Until I can get the time to have magnoli make me a custom one. I bought a indians jones jacket from peter botright(not sure about the soelling0 And it was custom, and the fit is soooo sweet. So I just need to find the time to do it. I am waiting because when I do, I plan on buying the whole line of 007. He and I had spoke about this about a week ago. So he is ready when I am.
I don't think that jacket was available yet at the time when I bought my black one. I should head over to a BR sometime to see how it looks in person. Maybe if I can find it on sale...

I really like the BR jacket in the link above. I don't mind the elastic waist on it - I just hate elastic cuffs, and I'm glad this one doesn't have those! I just ordered one online this afternoon. We'll see what it looks like when it arrives next week.
BLU8, you may want to consider taking the plunge when I tell you there's currently an online code that just started today that'll give you 30% off through Sunday. Plus if you sign up for their e-mail newsletter, you'll get a free shipping code sent to your e-mail address. So you'll end up saving about $37 - not too bad on a $100 jacket! The 30% code is D7KXN8LM3PGB.
Thanks for the code, DBS! I appreciate it, but I'm trying to cut back on my spending for now, at least until I get a summer job. The fact that I am addicted to DVD bargain bins is making this very difficult, LOL. But hopefully I can pick up the jacket over the summer if I like it & after I make some more spending money. Thanks anyway, though!
The BR jacket has no elastic at all. It is form fit. It feels like it was tailored to fit. And the sizing is good, I usualy wear a large and I bought the Large. I have not seen the LE jacket, anyone who could post a pic? I am curious as to the look of it. Thank you. Mantis, You said you bought the LE jacket? What did you pay and did they have the midnight blue? I have family who work for them. They could easily get me one, for a discounted price of course. Never can have to much 007 clothes.
The bottom line, with all of these alternatives, is that you are happy with the form/fit/style. They are all correct as long as you are confident and happy. I think it is kind of fun to have different options, both alternative and not, and still feel like Bond! -{

How does the LE jacket run size-wise, drum007?
