I just purchased the last pair NATIONWIDE of CK Shore Boots in dark brown. That is what they said when I ordered them. In a size 11 I am soo thrilled and cannot wait until they get here. I wore my LE jacket for the first time yesturday and I was amazed and the fit and feel of it. It is great. For those of you who wish to buy a replica of the Quantum jacket, get in touvh with me. I know a company that makes them for $125 which is not as expensive as Magnoli's for those of you on a budget. I am waiting to get atleast 5-10 of you that want it, because I think that I can get us a better deal.
Forgive me for the ad, but I have the original dark navy Land's End Harrington (no longer sold) in deep navy (gathered in the back, button cuffs) with blue interior, size medium for $40 shipped in CONUS. Willing to ship overseas. To see it you can PM me your email, or just hit the beginning of the thread.
I spoke to the company that makes the QUANTUM OF SOLACE Jacket. If we buy 5 jackets we get a deal. So these will be made just like the one in the film. Anyone interested in ordering the jacket, contact me storm1157@att.net I will be ordering by the first part of May.
No this is not a proto-type, I promise you. This company does hundreds of jackets and even suits from movies and 007 films. They are a huge company and have a huge website. I have seen the work that they do and if I thought it less than perfect, I would not bring it to my fellow 00 agents here. Not to mention that I would not be interested in this if these jackets did not look authentic. This company does a great deal of cosplay for conventions as well. If we can get 5 people to buy them, not including myself as the 6th buyer, we can get them for $125 I contacted them and told them that if they sell these again, we would be interested. They had stopped making these for a while and are making the leather jacket from the craig films. When I told them that we as bond fans would be interested, I negotiated this low cost deal. So you see, I started the conversation with them after I saw their work. It is top quality.
I actually think a proto-type would have been a good thing..you know, something to show everyone. Can you post pics of their other quality work? What is the web site? Since you are negotiating this with them I am sure the other collectors here will respect that.
I bring this up because I would not fork over any money without seeing what I would be getting.
The website is southbeach leather. As you can see, they do great work! Just understand, the only way we get the deal is through me sending the list to them. Once they have the list of who wants the quantum jacket, then I will send them your email adress for you to order. The best part is this will be a one time run since they stopped making it. So we will get it exclusively. As I said, I am to notify them to let them know how much material to get. If this works out. We will have a clothier that can make custom things from bond for us. They only made a small run of these originaly because they deal in laether. But I am also trying to communicate the want and need for the Tom Ford shawl collared cardigan and other things. So it would be respectful to allow me to continue the negotiations to get this going. Anyone interested please contact me. I am trying to show this company that with us, they can start making other things other than just leather jackets. You can see some of the 007 jackets here at the link above.
Be cautious! Southbeach Leather's reputation is checkered at best. Check on the Flight Jackets forum among others to see their less than stellar reputation.
I'd personally avoid them, but I leave you to your own research.
Well, the only thing that I see is that south beach stole some pictures, which they most likely used to make their jackets. I read nothing that states that buyers never got what they paid for etc... I have another person who can make them for $175 My resources are not limited. I am getting mine custom from Magnoli, I was just trying to help all of you. I think some times that you should dig deaper on this research to find more. M would say that more evidence is needed. Because what you have brought me on this south beach deal......RUBISH. No proof of them being anything mthan a picture theif.
The question becomes - 'If they have to steal photos and descriptions from other people, and they can't show photos of their OWN products, what are they trying to hide - poor stitching/craftsmanship? sub-standard fabric? The list goes on. It comes down to bad business practices.
The bottom line is that we haven't heard of anyone having a good experience with them. I've followed their work for some time from my involvement on FilmJackets.com. I know you'll agree that my money is just as valuable as your money or anyone else in this forum, so why should any of us casually and carelessly throw money at something we've never seen? If they would like to produce a prototype to show us, I'm sure there would be MANY interested parties here, myself included, if the jacket is as nice as they say they can make it. If they don't want to foot the cost of making a prototype, I'm sure someone else out there will step up to the plate, as Magnoli has done. We all know it takes money to make money - that's good business practice.
I agree, but even I have used others photos when selling my things on ebay. But I see the point. I will ask them to make a prototype. If they decide not to, well then they must not want our money. I will keep you updated. I will say that my friend boaght the wolverine jacket and they did great work. But that is all I have seen. I will as I said, keep you posted.
I just want to clarify my earlier question... does the Lands End Canvas Harrington have a tighter fit than the standard (and currently unavailable) Lands End Club Jacket, which began this thread? I ask, because on the website the description for the Lands End Canvas Harrington states it has a "refined Tailored fit." I'm just wondering if this means it fits truer to size than the original club jacket, which ran large (as most normal Lands End items do.) If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
The unavailable jacket, which I have on eBay currently, has a standard fit. A size Medium is supposed to be a size 38-40, but is really a 42-44 it feels like to me. To get a slim fit, you'd probably need a small.
For some reason LE sizes up by 2 sizes at least everything in their shirts.
Still not sure about the new jacket though. Hope that helps.
OK GUYS!....I got South Beach leather to make a prototype and another company that I found. They started making them today. This is I guess a competition. Any how, I will fill you in as I get the info and show you a final product. Also, did all of you here that Sam Worthington may be the next Bond???
I recently purchased and received the Land's End Canvas Heritage Harrington and I really couldn't be happier. Here are some details...
The sizing is actually perfect, a tailored looking fit even though I ordered true to size (which happens to be small for me-so it isn't as though I can downsize...). I'm blown away by how dark the navy blue actually is. It is made of cotton twill and has a pretty nice rugged kind of feel to it, and although I've never felt the Tom Ford, the material seems to feel and move in the same way! There is a small amount of elastic in the lower back in what would seem to be in place of the side adjustment buttons, but don't worry, the fitted look is retained. The cuffs are adjustable and the pockets have no button closure or flaps, just Y3ish slit pockets. And the collar only extends on one side and has two buttons instead of one. As long as the smallest details don't bother you, I would absolutely invest in this unless you've already gone Magnoli. When I wear this jacket, I feel, I really feel, like I am wearing the real thing. I've done a lot of Bond alternative searching and some purchases I've made may not have been the smartest or closest in detail or the best fitting. With this one, I've no regrets whatsoever, in any way, shape or form.
Not that the regrets would matter anyway, since when I'm wearing this, I'm too busy being James Bond to care ) !!!
Hello guys, i have a good news, i will receive in few days the original Tom Ford jacket and i'm gone to replicate it in dark blue like the movie, if i receive 15 orders from you i will replicate several but if i receive less i will keep it for me. Bye
Obviously, it's not the most accurate replica out there (double-button collar, elasticized cuffs, elasticized waist, flap pockets), but it's definitely a nice jacket at a good price. I just bought one this afternoon, & I can't wait to wear it once this crazy Canadian winter ends!
It is intended to look like the jacket worn in the early missions of the game Blood Stone 007, it looks great for either occasion, and is a mere $98.50.
Unfortunately, I have a jacket just like this one, but with a regular collar, so I don't see myself getting one of these in the immediate future.
I saw that jacket in one of the shops the other week and it really is rather good. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking a budget alternative but still wants something of good quality.

Thanks!
I ask because the lack of bites may have to do with the lack of creds this company has on the board.
I bring this up because I would not fork over any money without seeing what I would be getting.

Largo: Do you know a lot about guns, Mr. Bond?
Bond: No, but I know a little about women.

Also, for Canadian Bonds on a Budget, the jacket is currently on sale for $36.50 (regularly $44.50), with a printable coupon for 25% off that can be used in-store (http://oldnavy.gapcanada.ca/browse/info.do?cid=65371&locale=en_CA&tid=ocembt0243&ev=ONCANM2112011&di=76404319&cd=ONNC_OPR). So you can potentially get this jacket for only $26 plus tax!
