Peter Nelson who owns cars of the stars has had most of his Bond vehicles for a long while now but kept them in secret storage as he couldnt fit anymore in the museum. If you can get Film24 channel on Sky TV then theres a documentary thats often repeated called 'From 007 with Love' where it shows his secret warehouse and he talks a bit about his collection
It is on FilmTV, Saturday, 10:00pm
I'm off on friday, thats my day sorted. I cannot wait
Sorry you didn't make it Mick.
I hope some day .. we could all meet up for a Big Bond weekend that would be great .... we would need a location that would allow and all nite party .. an area were all the collectors could bring there prized posetions and display them safely in cabinets for everyone to see and discuss... and have lots of Bond related items ...
O yes and a big screen.. have a Bond DVD marathon..

I visited the museum today and absolutely loved it.
After I had been round I got talking to the people working there and they said they are hoping to plan some weekend events. They mentioned getting the Goldeneye tank out in the car park , and having a few Martinis and watching films. i look forward to these events already.
The people working there were very helpful and friendly and obviously had an enourmous amount of passion for the project. It was busy when I was there so I hope this museum will be a huge success.
I took some pictures when I was there however any pictures taken are copyright of the museum and I have emailed for permission to post them, so as soon as I can I will put them up on the site.
I can't wait to go, it sounds brilliant.
I have heard that at the cars of the stars, there is a gift shop, What sort of things do they sell there? If anyone has been. The website lists that there is a autograph collection, for sale, Any Bond, are prices reasonable?
Thanks
I didn't see an autograph collection, although the museum is expanding fairly soon to accommodate more so I would imagine it will be part of that. I definitely didn't see any for sale.
The items for sale were books posters and model cars mainly. Prices were very good. Admission is £6 or £8 if you buy a brochure (which you need to do to be allowed to take photos).
I bought a framed Moonraker poster and a collectors tin of Fleming audio books. I paid £80.
Can you advise how much admission is - and they are OK for you to take photographs so long as they're for your own use not for publication online or elsewhere???
Also what other things are there to do in and around Keswick as me and the missus are planning a weekend there - she's really looking forward to the museum - even though I'm the Bond fan.
Speaking of the museum....anyone tempted to purchase this:

Can't remember any prices, but I think there were a few Bond autographs there.
The reason Jamesbondjr didn't find any was (I think) because he was looking in The Bond Museum.
