  I don't think those are the right sneakers.
  
  I think they were Bensimon tennis shoes. It's a french tennis sneaker that was favored by John F. Kennedy. Grant's were all black. Today, Bensimon seems more grared toward womens sneakers, but they do still sell men's sneakers.
