FOR SALE: QOS 1:43 AM Dbs models with damage

minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
Hi there guys, resident model nut Minigeff here.

Basically, with the interest raised and great comments people have given about my work, i've decided to produce a small run of the 1:43 Aston Martin Dbs from QOS.

For people who haven't already seen it, there are some pictures here;

http://www.ajb007.co.uk/index.php?topic=27503&cpage=2

theres also a review here;

http://www.ajb007.co.uk/index.php?topic=27503&cpage=3

So, if anyone would like one, could they PM me about it? Once i've got some ideas of how many are needed, i can work out cost and sort out a method of payment. A very rough cost estimate is around £100GBP, TBC.

Cheers for your time guys, and i look forward to hearing from you! {[]

ps, i'll set a deadline of 20th of april to get your 'order of interest' in, so that everyone isn't hanging around too long.

    For those that don't have a lot of time to click on other links (you know who you are) here is my review AND a picture of the masterpiece itself!

    Just wanted to let everyone know that I have received one of minigeff's incredible QoS "battle damaged" astons! To call it amazing would not do it justice nor do pictures do it justice. How he crams so much detail and exactness into such a small package is beyond me. It looks good enough to be a movie maquette and in fact given the right angles looks as though the screen used one was miniturized. The dirt is the real show stopper and has all the tells of a chase scene but doesn't have scale issues like so many of these models have.

    Of note is that I received this as a surprise gift from a very good friend and suffice it to say I was floored by his generous gift as well as the high level of impact this piece has on me. Minigeff, keep 'em coming!!!

    You may find more people willing to take the 'plunge' once a price (or an estimate price) has been mentioned.
    Your pieces look fabulous and I'd love to have to one...it's just a question of cost I'm afraid.

    ta miles.

    i'd like to say i could sell the models for under £100 inc p+p in the uk.

    its a catch 22, i can only estimate a price until i get an idea on numbers.

    Which is a fair comment.

    Have you any idea of cost ?
    Say...if you made 5 it would cost x ammount....y ammount if you made ten...and z ammount if you made 15...?...even if these figures were just rough estimates...

    I'm just looking for a starting point I suppose...

    Good luck with the project...and please keep us informed...thanks.

    details on the case are yet to be confirmed. i usually use the existing clear case, and make a new base for the model. logo's aren't planned for the 1:43 bases. i think what you've seen is pictures of the 1:18 models i did.

    Hi guys,

    thought i'd report an update on things.

    most people have responded now to the pm's sent to everyone, if you haven't, could you please do so?

    the models are on order and should arrived in about 3 weeks.

    in the meantime, i'll be preparing the bases and getting them engraved, which i why i really need to know people's names for the engraving process. i'll not name and shame, i'm sure people know who they are.

    if however you've changed your mind or want different details engraved on your model base, please let me know by the end of the week.

    all the models have now been allocated buyers.

    i'll not need to take any payment before the models are ready and we're looking about a month and a half lead time if everything runs to plan.

    if anyone has any questions or comments, please contact me directly via email or pm so i don't miss your questions.

    ta for your time people, i'll report again soon with some visuals on the base design.

    UPDATE;

    hi guys (and girl).

    thought i'd let you know about an issue with the edition numbers of the models.

    as you know, the models are numbered 1-10. course, a few people have requested 007/0010. to keep things fair, i held a draw to see who'd get which number. the results are as follows;

    001 - spencer50
    002 - sruzgar
    003 - marydoll
    004 - LOO7K_OUT
    005 - redsleighdown
    006 - pwalsh9012
    007 - SirMiles
    008 - danjaq_0ff
    009 - texas007
    0010 - ahmed

    cheers people, more soon.
