    Hi people,

    Time for another quick update.

    Last night the models finally got finished, below are a couple of pics showing the full batch of ten.

    All that needs doing now are finishing the bases and shipping.

    The boxes are on order and should be here soon. By then everything will be ready to go.

    I'm pretty sure i have everyone's address, but just to make sure they all go to the right places, could everyone email at 'minigeff@hotmail.com' me their postal address by friday night as they'll hopefully be going in the post saturday morning.

    Cheers everyone, enjoy the pics.

    I think you will find that the base was for display so he could take the pick as we all have coustom bases made for them :D
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
    yeah, the original CR bases were simply used to hold the models during tansit to and from workshops and for painting.

    everyone has custom bases, with the final product looking like this;

    Excellent stuff, so much detail and work gone into these.
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
    cheers. obviously some people have questioned the price with these and i even had one guy trying to discredit me on another forum, which wasn't great.

    i guess its something modelmakers frequently have to explain that its not just a model you're paying for, its research, materials, time to do the work and the drawings and contact everyone.

    yeah, it takes some effort, but hell, if a jobs worth doing....

    i just hope everyone likes their models, and i'd like to point out that when you open your little boxes, you should be greeted with a few little surprises and possibly the most accurate 1:43 model of the QOS dbs you can find.

    unless someone else has beaten me to it and just not blabbed on as much as me.

    Credit to you Jeff. I don't think you can put a price on such a piece of art especialy given the time and effort thats gone into this project. Afterall these will become collectors pieces so money well spent this end...well done sir!
  • bondaholic007bondaholic007 LondonPosts: 878MI6 Agent
    Think of the prices these will be worth in a few years -{
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
    lol think what the prototype will be worth, i decided to keep hold of both the 1:43 and 1:18 originals when i first started all this.

    an ambition would be to do a job for babs and mike, to have my work on their desks would be quite amazing.

    one can dream.....

    Jeff, Model has arrived and is superb credit where credit is due. There will be 10 very satisfied customers out there and many more who missed out on something great.

    I suggest you make No. 11 and send it to E.ON, I'm sure it would be recieved well. If you need an address let me know.

    glad you like it sir, as far as sending one to EON, the bar stewards already have enough of my money, you seen the price of gas these days? oh, that EON, my bad.

    like i've said before, to do some work for babs or/and mike would be great, hell i'd do it for free if i got to hand it over in person. there again, lovely lady as she is, i'm sure she'd boot my arse for making a bit of coin off her back.

    if you have the address paul it'd be appreciated, it might come in handy in the future.

    more stuff is planned after the honeymoon, so you'll be sure to see further stuff. my times going to be limited later in the year anyways, so runs of 10 models etc will probably die down until i get more free time.

    hope you liked the freebies too paul.
