I think that connerys hair in Dr.No is real.

Another thing that proves it is real is that when he is going to MS.Taro's house, while he is driving his hair like gets moved by the wind, Wigs can't do that.

But yes, it wasn't until FRWL that he started wearing a hairpiece.
I think that Roger kept his hair the whole way through. Pierce had to dye his black for Dye another day

A shame cause I think that the original artwork would look great still. We keep original album artwork so why not moview artwork? Perhaps it would put a lot of geeks out of a an otherwise pointless job.....

I read somewhere that Sean only needed a tiny hair-piece on his crown, rather than anything like a proper wig. The decision came from Cubby himself.
If you ever get a chance to see The Hill (1965)you'll see baldness has caught up rather quickly in the three years since Dr. No. It doesn't matter though, he's still probably the coolest Bond of all - syrup or not.

Daniel Craigs is a good example - He'd still look great as Bond with a no 1 cut. I'm not saying it would work for everyone, but as we all know, not everyone could be 007 anyway!
Baldness is a genetic trait - it varies from person to person. Some guys are bald before they are twenty. Other have a relatively full head of hair all their lives. I have now been thining for a decade myself.
Anythign looks better than a brillo pad!
As I understand his baldness started at age 20, and for most of his early carrer he wore a hair piece of some kind. After he filmed Diamonds are Forever if I remember right in most of his films he did not bother any more with wigs.
