Unfortunately, out of my price range. Nice looking garment, though.

What are the originals selling for? I thought they were around the $350 price range too.

I don't quite understand...the original jacket is back in stock in the Y-3 stores...perhaps Indy started this project before that fact?

i can get a real Y-3 cheaper then his replica

But the real Y-3 isn't custom tailored to your body type.

I guess its a risk benefit question...and what is more important to you...perfect fit or the right one? To me if you get the right size Y-3 then fit is not an issue.

For me, and I'm sure for a few others, it's an issue of availability. I'm nowhere near any Y-3 stores, and I can't find them online, so Magnoli is my only option.

good point, i just dont think its that spectacular of a jacket given its price tag and that i see dozens of similiar jackets daily.

An original Y-3 jacket in the UK would be cheaper than this replica - although I can't seem to get one in my size! :(

However, as mentioned above, the Magnoli version is made to your measurements. Tempting but still rather get an orginal Y-3 if I can.

The Magnoli jacket isn't a Y-3 replica though (from the first half of QOS in Haiti) is it?

Isn't it actually a replica of the Barracuda jacket from the second half of QOS (in the Bolivian desert)?

He does both now. The Quantum and The Solace.

Thanks Kittlemeier. I missed that new Solace jacket.

I checked Harrington Baracuta's website for the G4 Slim Fit from QOS and the listing price was £165.00 ($242.60), which is cheaper than the Magnoli Quantum replica of $350.00

How much does the original Y-3 worn in QOS retail for as opposed to the Magnoli Solace replica?

S, M, L, and XL sizes rarely have a "right size." You'd probably be better served to get a custom tailored piece of clothing....you'll probably look more the part when the jacket fits like it is supposed to.

Wait, where can I get (or who can I contact to get) the Y-3 jacket?
  • The Bond ExperienceThe Bond Experience Newtown, PAPosts: 5,490Quartermasters
To each their own...I find, depending on your body type, that the standard sizes of well fitted clothing looks amazing and certainly packs the appropriate "punch". Certainly custom fit, is optimal but I find when done through mail order seems to be a hit and miss game.

But that's is what I love about these boards, passionate opinions. {[]

Has anyone with Blu ray been able to see the Y-3 logo yet. There's a shot when he's getting into the red Bronco that could be it but it's hard to tell if it's dirt, removed embroidery, or just wishful thinking. I have noticed they added the extra button to hold back the collar tab when he puts the jacket on though.

I love my Y-3 but I have pretty long arms. For those that don't the Mag would be cheaper because of the alterations needed to make the Y-3 arms the right length. I guess if you're spending $340 for it though, an extra fifty or so isn't a big deal.
