Hey guys last night i watched Taken with liam neeson and the settings, France, Albania etc. Had what i felt to be an excellent setting for a bond movie, what are your thoughts on the settings for the new movie?

I dont know why but I just think it would be kinda interesting, obviously not fighting alongside other military forces but something.

Indonesia would be good too - plenty of jungle, cliffs, beaches and volcanoes - as well as massive corruption and poverty.
South Africa would be interesting as well. Stunning views, great weather - and an ideal place for Quantum to operate amongst bribes and corruption...

This stunning "Manhattan in the desert" has barely changed since it was last rebuildt in 1553 and it's still a living breathing community!
I like the location - but they'll only have Bond flying from roof to roof doing parquor again, and we can't have that three times in a row...

I think it's a graet idea. The landscape is stunning, not everyone has been ther on last years holiday and it's dangerous!
Richard Maibaum Perhaps they should send 007 to asassinate someone?
What they shouldn't do is make Bond pretty much a part of the coalition forces, fight with them.
Assainating an afghan warlord who produces opium and is a governor in a province and/or minister in the government but now is planning to defect to the Taliban may work better. Make the asassination happen in northern Pakistan. The landscape is the same, local warlords and the Taliban rule and it's beter to send an agent in sted of soldiers.
Still controversial stuff - I know 8-)

It's a timely enough location, that's for sure...
Well...as I've said elsewhere, Bond doesn't just travel to one place anymore A plot with drugs as an element easily works in both Afghanistan and NYC...I've become convinced that 007 will be in New York for #23 :v

Maybe Boston or Philadelphia would have been a better choice, if they're looking for an n'eastern locale.
However, (personal bias aside) they should send him to the midwest
(Plus a free trip out to see my parents, who live in Canada, and perhaps a glimpse of the lovely man himself....plus the Winter Olympics are to be held in Vancouver next year, so it will be high profile, with perhaps some good opportunities?? )
Yeah, I'd like to see that too. At the risk of Craig's Bond being too young/modern/non-conformist, I'd like to see him snowboarding - being chased by people whilst carving massive plumes of snow in his wake...

Quite right---and they don't have to go crashing through restaurants or across tabletops, either! )

*Morocco's deserts played Afghanistan here as the Soviet Union was still occupying Afghanistan until one year after the film had finished.
