1:8 Q boat from TWINE

Hi there guys.
I mentioned this in the JBCC thread, and some people wanted to see it, so here it is.
During my course at uni some years back, one of my projects was to make the Q boat from TWINE.
The boat is made from fibreglass, and vac formed plastics. It features a 500 series electric motor and jet drive, so it floats and work just like the full scale boat.
Other features include removable weapons so the boat can appear to have its weapons stowed or on show, the air intake is hollowed out to provide cooling for the motor too.
I did have plans to build in an emergency floatation bag just incase it went for a dive, and i did have the full dash board layout as i intended to have the dash fitted with fibre optics, alas, time money and space inside the hull all stopped that from happening, but i'm sure if i give it another shot these days i could pull it off.
I did mention in the JBCC thread about building some smaller models, maybe 1:43 or a little bigger perhaps, as i've still got all the plans kicking around somewhere.
Anyways, here she is;
Thanks for your time, MG {[]

If people want one making its something i'd consider, but there's never been an intention to make a massive run of these things.
I get what you mean about the limited interest, each unto their own i guess.
Thanks for the nice comment anyways,
MG

Any particular reason you chose this scale?
Amazing you can make this stuff, btw, what's your line minigeff?

well the project was for my uni course, i studied model design. anyways, for the project you had to justify why the model why being made, so i invented a scenario where a dangerous stunt could only be done by using miniatures, the kinda situation like the bmw through the car park wall in TND. knowing that the bmw750i model was roughly 1:8 (although it may have been 1:12) i chose that scale. little did i realise at the time, but action man etc is 1:6 (i think) so i should have done it 1:6 and put an action man in it for added effect (been done before for bond btw).
