Lazenby OHMSS Shoulder Holster

Well it is, at last, time to put this holster together. Nightshooter, I hope you're still interested. Within the next two to three weeks, I'll be getting the pattern together for this holster. The first holster will be made out of in-expensive material to get all the dimensions correct. I'll try to post pictures as this progresses.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the support. I've also been hankering to make the Thunderball Bond holster which features a brown leather right arm strap. But, first things first.

Well, I have the first sample holster ready. It's made of a black satin type material. It looks pretty cool, but there are some points that need to be corrected. I'll post pictures soon.

Here are pictures of the sample Lazenby style holster. It's made of satin/cotton with fusing for extra weight. Nice for a smple, but there are errors. First off, the top back stap is too Goldfinger, if you will. The top back strap should be more horizontal, running across the top of the shoulders. The "X" stitch pattern that is so prevalent on the Connery Goldfinger holster should not be on this one either. Lastly the hip tie down should be longer with multiple button holes. Of course the fabric should be black leather, but I like the look of this one and it looks danm near like what you see in OHMSS. It goes will go well with a tuxedo and is a less expensive alternative to leather. Very cool!

Frayed sewn edge will be addressed in satin version.

Yep! Presuming you meant the ASP and the holster and not the holster and my body. The mini Glock .40 (Glock 27) is a little beast too. I have actually completed the satin sample. However, I did not like the pictures I took, so I will re-do them and post them. In the mean time, it's time to start the leather version.

I know this was posted a year ago now, but wondered if you happen to have a pattern for this?
really want to make one myself but want to get it right :-)

Also, you mentioned you were working on a leather version - has this been posted in a seperate thread?
Wondered if you had pics of this too?

    Blessings

Yes I do have a pattern. The leather version has not been made, although I do have the leather to make one. I just have not gotten around to it yet. Factor in a family, a full time job and other pursuits outside of Bond and time becomes exeedingly precious. But thank you for your interest. Perhaps I should get on it.

Know exactly what you mean about family, full time job, other interests & hobbys biding for attention!

Wondered if it would be possible to have a copy of the pattern you used or point me where I could purchase/find one?
All help would be much appreciated (been scouring the net for a few days now with no joy and your posts are the closest I've found to what I'm looking for!)

    Many blessings

    Raymond.

The pattern came from a professional holster maker who custom built me a Connery style Bond holster to my specifications. It cost me a pretty penny. It was not as accurate as I would have liked which caused me to make my own Bond holster based on the general pattern. I used my Connery Bond holster to make the Lazenby version, however certain things needed to be changed. Like no X pattern on the shoulder and a longer tie down with several button holes. If you interested, PM me.
