Do you guys know what that Mercedes-Benz type like logo is on SC's Bond Rolex Submariner.

    I do believe that Mercedes makes hands for watches, although Donald Grant will know more concrete info about this as my watch knowledge is limited.

    :)) no, Mercedes does not produce hands for watches.

    I suppose, that problem with such a huge dot is, is, that the luminescent material is very fragile. To enforce the structure, Rolex used this star-pattern-skeleton.

    This became a special feature over the years and is still existent in present Rolex watches.

    I don't know, if Mercedes ever complained about this, but this kind of hour hand is commonly called "Mercedes-hand", but you would not find this in any official material from the watch company.

    And please guys, keep in mind, that this is an EON copyrighted image.... 8-)

    Yeah, Bondtoys is right for once. If the supaluminova or tritium was placed in a large hole it would crack in the centre and fall through, so Rolex divided the large round hole into three parts for stability. Just coincidence that it looks like the Mercedes symbol. Copied by many other brands of watches that require a larger luminous insert on their sports watches.
