Magnoli Quantum tie

Received this morning and I'm over the moon with it.

Thought the best way to show how good this tie is next to a couple of bits of the original.

Tie looks great. Can you confirm what colour/shade was the suit he wore with it? Looks like the samples show the suit too.

Did they come out with a new series of cards?
Away at Boot Camp, won't be back until April the earliest.

    Monza860,

The card is from the James Bond Archives card set. It came out the day after QOS came out on Blu-Ray/DVD.

I just checked them out, a lot of costume cards but I don't see any of yours on ebay.

I was finally getting around to opening some boxes from a recent move and found that I actually have a similar tie from Robert Talbott.

I got it on sale so it only cost $25. :D

    Monza860,

Do a search for James Bond Archives Relic or James Bond Archives Relic Cards and they should show up. The ones with tie pieces are pretty rare. There is a card that only has a piece of tie in it, and there's only 250 of them. I've only seen a few of them on eBay.

And if you see it, it usually goes for a astronomical price... :#

That's why that one, the one with Mitchell's tie and the one L007K OUT apparently has two of, are the only ones missing from my collection...

    Very classy! I am ordering mine from Indy right now. -{
I would ask you if you could remain emotionally detached. But I don't think that's your problem is it Bond?

    No

I was lucky enough to get in before the prices shot up. I got my QC25 (Mitchells apartment/London) Tie for a fraction of what it's going for now, same as the QC03 (Greene party tie and jacket) These costume cards are too addictive, I just can't help buying more :# Every duplicate has something different on it, it's a disease I tell ya!

The Aston Martin DBS windshield relic card is very cool as well, I've got mine displayed with the Minichamps DBS - looks great.

I know what you mean Duncan. I was late on the CR costume cards though I was lucky enough to buy a few cheap from Canada. Have most of them now, apart from the ridiculously priced ones (Solange, M , Le Chiffre). 8-)

And I was also late on these because I didn't know they had come out.

They are way too addictive, especially with the individuality of the cards. For instance, I have the Mathis card (9) twice. One with blood and one without...

Still don't have the windshield because I'm still not convinced about it. Would it still fit in a regular card album or is the card too thick?

The windshield is the thickest card I've ever seen, it stands up by itself.

Not one for the binder that's for sure!

Thanks for the info Duncan. :)

Perhaps we should start a different thread to talk about the costume cards before we go too far off topic in this one?

Wore my Quantum tie to work today. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. Even my section Section Chief noticed. Indy has given me a avenue for a whole new look. If you've haven't purchased one yet, do not hestitate. The ties are some of the best I've ever owned. Bravo Zulu, Indy!!!
