Bond is not the only to wear the Ryder III on screen

while watching Angels and Demons last week, I noticed that Robert Langdon played by Tom Hanks wears the brown Ryder III throughout the movie!

Thought I would share,

All the best,

Many bootmakers use the same Dainite rubber soles so they could be from another maker.

    Did you like the movie?

My take on the Ryder III is that they are the same boot as the John White just re branded. I have compared both boots and found them identical right down to the stitching...only difference is the label.

    Hi,

Do you know how much the John White's go for?

Yes I did like the movie, I even felt it was better of the two books.

Regarding John White's and the Church's, they may look the same but are not made of the same quality. The shape of the toe area of the shoe is also different. The Church's are rounded and the John White's are more pointed. The welt and height of the boot is different. I have both pairs, and the difference is like night and day when you wear them, the Church is a more solid, well put together boot and retains it's shape better than the John White's, its not just a difference in labels. I thought the same thing until I was in London and bought a pair of Church's.

    All the best,
    Stefan

No I have not. But do you chaps know of any close enough's for the Philip, I love the look, and I save my Philip's for speacial events in my life, but I wanted something for everyday use. The closest I came to finding a sub is a Allen Edmonds Park Avenue, cap toe and 6 eyelet.

    Any suggestions ?

    all the best,
    Stefan
