Oh, sad. I went to see him when I was 10, he was flying Little Nellie at an air show, and he posed for a photograph with the machine. A nice fella. Mind you, he looked quite old and whiskery even then, and that was 1980.
Edit: He was 97 years old. -{

Very sad to hear about Wing Commander Ken Wallis, ever since I first watched You Only Live Twice I enjoyed the battle with Little Nellie and the helicopters. May he rest in peace.
Also I was pretty shocked to hear about Tommy Morrison sudden passing at age 44, apparently he was pretty sick these two years or so. In addition to being a real life boxer he was also the great nephew of John Wayne.
Sad to learn that Billy Connolly has been Diagnosed With Parkinson's, and has had
treatment for prostate cancer. He's always been One of My Comedy heros and I wish
him well and Hope he can get better.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Sad to hear about the death of Tom Clancy, he was a great story teller.
Very sad indeed. "The Hunt For Red October" was a superb story and the story of its publication was equally as gripping...and inspiring for any would-be writer. 66 year sold is very young, but at least he had a few decades to enjoy the massive wealth he earned from his books.

Though I never knew the man, I feel deeply saddened by his passing on a very personal level. Virtually none of the music that means anything to me would have existed if it wasn't for the path blazed by Lou Reed.

A huge loss to the Bond community and aviation as a whole.

That's sad. She was also an actress, probably most famous as the receptionist on The Bob Newhart Show back in the '70s.
