I've been told for terrorists if you get beheaded you can't go to
Heaven, so no 72 virgins for you. So as their doing it to us,perhaps
We should return the favour.

{[] Brilliant art work. And as another middleaged fat bloke once said....
"We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

I always enjoyed seeing Rod Taylor--the last time (for me, at least) was as Winnie himself in Inglorious Basterds. I hope he took three books with him. . .
RIP Rod Taylor -star of The Liquidator, one of the best Bond parodies of the 60s, and of course written by John Gardner -{
Indeed - very sad news. I was just thinking of him the other day funnily enough. And I really liked him as Boysie Oakes in The Liquidator. It's a real shame there weren't more Oakes films starring Rod Taylor.

RIP Lance Percival...one of the first to bring 'satirical comedy' to the screens of the UK...he also provided the voices of both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in the 1960's cartoons....
it's a coincidence that the film she's best known for " La Dolce Vita"
" she wades through Rome's Trevi Fountain in a strapless dress"
and it's the fuss over this Fountain that's holding up a possible car
chase in Rome for SPECTRE.

I can't believe Rod Taylor has left us. He was such an incredible actor. Same goes to Lance Percival. I will always remember him for playing the chef in Carry On Cruising.

More sorry departures. I love the early Carry On Films, so very sorry to hear of Lance Percival's passing. To quote the film...
Sid James as Captain Crowther. - Who are you?!
Lance P - Haynes captain, Wilfred Haynes, you'll see I'm on the list there...
Capt Crowther - What happened to Nottington our regular ships cook?
Haynes - Perhaps he got fed up?
Ken Williams as 1st Off Marjoriebanks - Fed up! I say, that's good! Hahahahahahaha!!!
Capt Crowther - Belt up!!
And Mr Percival was great in Up Pompeii as well as Capt Billius. "Where is that slave?!" "Madam, you are not allowed water wings in here!... Would you all excuse me please?"
I wish we still had new comedy productions like that. Rest in Peace Mr Percival, your great work will always make me laugh.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Yes really saddened to hear this. I met Brian a few years back and he was great company. As well as his superb work on the Avengers, I'd also like to mention the series he did back in the seventies, Thriller, which was discussed in another thread. He told me his favourite episode was "I'm the girl he wants to kill" and so I shall watch that in tribute to the great man! RIP Brian...

I know he didn't write every single episode,but with all those thousands
Of story ideas for so many great TV series, he must have had a truly
Fantastic imagination. -{

Comedy actor.
He also was the voice of Pongo in the 1961 version of 101 Dalmatians. Really like that film. RIP
