Sad and quite shocked to hear of Sir Terry Wogan's death. I recall that his favourite Bond impression was as Goldfinger: "Strict rules of golf, Mr Bond." He also interviewed John Gardner at one stage.
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
Aww--Frank Finlay was an excellent Iago and a great musketeer. RIP!
His Porthos was the best character in those Musketeer movies (and those movies had a ton of great actors and characters). He was also an absolutely awesome Van Helsing on Great Performances back in the late 1970s. One of my favorite actors. He will be greatly missed. RIP.
Odd, cos he seemed perfectly fine when I was chatting to him the other week. Don't know why the obits kept going with pictures of him from 45 years ago.
A big Happy Valentines day to everyone. I hope everyone is in love, if only
with yourself.

Very sad news - the British band Viola Beach and their manager wiped out in a car crash in Sweden. Unbelievable really, even though I wasn't familiar with them.

Umberto Eco has died at the age of 84. He's probably most famous for his novel The Name of the Rose, but he was also a great literary scholar--one of the earliest to take Ian Fleming's James Bond seriously. RIP.
Geordie comedian Brendan Healy has died after a battle with cancer. He played the police chief in the final episode of Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere. RIP.
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

Umberto Eco was a great author. The Name of the Rose and Baudolino are among my favourites.

Very sad news - he was certainly a great Bond scholar and I believe the inventor of the term 'Bondoloigist' which I've latterly latched onto!

Denise Katrina Matthews
passed away yesterday at the age of 57.
She played in one of my favorite Miami Vice Episodes, "by hooker, by crook"
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
I've watched those films like 30-40 times
RIP, George Gaynes.
Also was in the sitcom Punky Brewster. He played Henry Warnimont. Punky Brewster was a great family comedy.

Harper Lee. To Kill A Mockingbird is a fantastic novel.
