Sad news indeed, RIP Gene Wilder. So many classic performances The Producers, Young Frankenstein,
Blazing Saddles, stir Crazy. Gene thank you for all the laughs. One of the Greatest.

The original and the best Wonka. The 1971 version of the film was one of my childhood favourites. RIP, Mr Wilder.

Gene Wilder was a brilliant comic actor - perhaps the greatest of his generation. Rest in peace

Arnold Palmer, one of history's greatest golfers--and the only pro golfer to get a mention in a Bond film ("If that's his ball I'm Arnold Palmer"--Goldfinger)--has died at 87.
Look out for a rare small role in the 1950s film School for Scoundrels, where he plays the twit who has enrolled and is asked to break the ice to his fellow students by offering up a joke...
Sad day, Leonard Cohen and Robert Vaughan.
Also all those we should remember on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month peace be with all of you.
Several cast members on " Hustle" said in Interviews, that they had to pinch themselves sometimes
Knowing they were working with the last surviving member of The Magnificent Seven.

I was woken about 30 minutes ago (just before 6am my time) by a friend calling from England who told me about Robert Vaughn's passing. He was an icon to me, The Magnificent Seven is my favourite movie, TMFU, Hustle, Bullitt, Towering Inferno, Columbo and many more performances made him seem like an old friend. His autobiography A Fortunate Life is an excellent read. A very sad CHB this morning. RIP Dear Robert.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I will tip my hat to the passing of my near namesake.
It's a real shame they don't seem able to show stuff like The Man from UNCLE on British TV anymore. I very much enjoyed those shows in the 70s. I just don't understand it; surely a generation won't rush out to buy the DVDs if they don't even know the show exists.
As for L Cohen, well, news of Trump's victory probably finished him off. Maybe he thought, even I couldn't write a song as depressing as that.

And he was great in two 1970s Columbo episodes, 'Troubled Waters' and 'Last Salute to the Commodore'.
Robert Vaughan was long one of my favourite actors. RIP, sir.
Knowing they were working with the last surviving member of The Magnificent Seven.
Also loved him in Superman 3, despite the films shortcomings...
