Hi there everyone, I am possibly thinking about selling my Odd Job hat Replica.

as most of you will know the original sold for £62,000 in 1997 at a Christies Bond auction.. the owner was Graham Rye of the JBIFC ... and EON was the buyer.. and they still own it to this day. that hat was made famous in GOLDFINGER.. and harold sakata utilased it in many appearances after the film .. There was a second hat that came up for auction at Jullian's auctions in America... this was the exact same model and style of hat however it featured a rivited steel brim.. this was harold sakatas wrestling bowler hat .. which he used when the original went back to EON after Goldfinger.. when he returned to the wrestling circuit.. where he was previously known as tosh togo..... and was now billed as Odd Job...

the original hat in Goldfinger was a flat crowned bowler hat .. many have argued over the years that it was a top hat rather than a bowler etc ... it was supplied by Lock & co ... london hatters.. to the film production....

onto my replica.. which i am open to see if there would be any interest in it.. and I would like to see it go to a very good home .. if I was to sell ...

it is extreamly accurate to the original .it features.. the metal brim going out to the whole circumfrance of the hat brim making it actually beleivable as a throwing blade weapon .. rather that a very thin ring like the SD Studios hat .. the original, had a full metal brim exact to my replica.. the metal brim is made and shaped out of aluminium . it also features .. a tan inner band... same as the film .. other replicas have been known to be black and empty inside.. and the SD hat, had white silk inside.. My replica is a real bowler hat of the same style .. is is not a custom made job .. or modern day re-cration..... or a close enough replica..... . it also features the ribbon and bow on the side.. also original.. the only modification to the hat is the full Metal Brim......

and it has fantastic and unique... Bond links all of its own... it was on display amoungst many other replicas and Bond props .. at the Bondstars event.. for TSWLM in october last year at PINEWOOD Studios in England .. home of the Bond films.... ... it was photographed by many guests.. along with the other film related items on display ... the hat has also seen some action at Stokes.. Poges golf course.... yes the actual golf course.. where odd job cut the head off the statue in GOLDFINGER.... and it has even been photographed at the location in the pinewood gardens.. when the shot of the statues head coming off was filmed... i dont think any other hat ... other than the original .. has been atall of these locations..

another neat Bond link it has .. it was held... for a photo by the two legendary Bond Book authors Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall.. both of whom are responsible for so many amazing Bond refferance Books and events.. amonngst them the most famous car in the world.. the esential Bond .. and many many more.. which many of you will have in your collections..

as I say .. I am just curious as to interest in this .. very unique item ... and one off Item... i could NOT afford to obtain another and go to all of these locations again .. and get photographs .. for a second .. :)) so its a very rare one off...
