You sir, have identified my exact purpose in creating this site!!! Albeit the actual link you mentioned is still a WIP, but I would love it if it could be a useful resource in that manner.
P.S. More updates tonight - mostly Goldeneye stuff
And while the echo of the GE MI6 check suit is still in the air, does anyone know which shoes Brosnan wore in which scenes of GE? We know that the three models of Church's that he wore were Chetwynd (black and brown), Balmoral (black) and Diplomat (black). We also know that the Diplomats were worn during the St Petersburg tank chase.
I'm also almost certain that the brown Chetwynds were worn when Bond slips onto the luxury yacht Manticore (he is wearing brown shoes, although they appear to become brown suede boots when he jumps back down into his speedboat).
As for the rest, I am not sure. Your thoughts, gentlemen?
Indiana,
Pretty sure you're right about the brown shoes from the Manticore scene. The Making of GE book only lists 3 formal shoes... it says for all other action scenes Bond wears Timberlands.
Hmm... so that would mean he wore Tmberlands in the Arkengelsk pre-title sequence and during the attack on the Antenna Cradle in Cuba.
Off topic, I own a pair of Timberlands of the kind worn by the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who. Very good boot, I'm wearing them now as I type, but they have an annoying tendency to squeak, even after nearly two years of wearing them... 8-)
So, as for the formal shoes, I imagine that the order in which they're worn goes something like this:
Monte Carlo Casino: Black Balmorals
Yacht Manticore/Frigate: Brown Chetwynds
MI6 Briefing/Q Branch/St. Petersburg: Black Chetwynds
Statue Park/Archives/Tank Chase/Missile Train: Black Diplomats

What about a domain name ending in .ca? Although it's representative of "canada", it is a clever acronym for clothing archive... IE jb007.ca (just checked, it's available @ godaddy.com). Anyway, this is a really great idea gents, I often get frustrated when 50 or more topics come up when I search for a specific movie item... Not that I don't love/ am not addicted to these forums or anything...
While I'm here, just a shout out to urhash regarding a possible future entry to the blog: the Azerbijan suit in TWINE. I'm not sure if it has been confrimed/verified before, but it I'm pretty sure that Brosnan is wearing the Presley's in this sequence (when he meets Elektra).
Makes it the second prominent item of clothing that has multiple appearances in this movie, alongside the also-worn-in-same-scene black herringbone tie (which I know is your favourite. )
Added a trivia section as well, for information that doesn't quite fit into specific movie info. Hoping to expand this over time, and with the help of submissions.
I've changed the format of the site so that NO posts will appear on the main page. I think this moves it a little further away from a "blog" layout. So to view a specific article, you'll have to click on it from the main page.
First bits about Craig are up. If anyone wants to give me a full brief on the Royale finale suit, I think that would be really good to put up... (as the tux and the finale are probably the two most significant suits from the movie!)
Back from the dead. No longer just an anonymous thread at AJB007.co.uk...
Just a suggestion for a slightly different entry in the archive, urhash. One of my favourite 'casual' Bond outfits is the getup he wears in GoldenEye, when in Monte Carlo: navy blue blazer, deep blue shirt, kahki chinos, brown brogues and belt.
In identifying the pieces, I'm pretty sure that blazer is a Brioni. The shoes are brown Chetwynds from Churches. And the shirt is probably an Amos Sulka number, like the rest of Bond's shirts in this film. Maybe the belt is Prada, like the piton belt? And as for the chinos...?
I like this outfit. It just seems to say "military", to me. And after all, Bond was in the navy. I think this outfit is a good choice (I like it second only to Dalton's Bratislava/Vienna outfit in TLD, with the black leather jacket).
Oh, and by the way, this outfit is also worn during the Aston Martin/Ferrari race with Xenia, only the blazer is swapped for a navy blue woolen sweater (and a cravat...). The sweater I think says 'military casual' even better than the blazer.
Good to hear. Glad to see that the archive remains alive.
And it would seem that I have ratcheted up view number 6,000 of this topic!
Edit: I have found a site where they seem to have a decent 'near enough' version of the navy sweater from the GE Aston Martin race in stock. Here's the link:

Yes, bravo IB

So who are all of Brioni.

This suit is described as a lightweight grey sharkskin in a BMW promotional magazine that I have from the time TWINE was released.
Although, I don't know how that tallies with this picture, http://screenmusings.org/TheWorldIsNotEnough/pages/TWinE_0474.htm, which shows Bond with what appears to be an altogether different cufflink on his right-hand cuff in the same scene...
Does he have it on backwards, perhaps?
EDIT: Having seen this picture (http://screenmusings.org/TheWorldIsNotEnough/pages/TWinE_0262.htm), it would appear that the Thames cufflinks were also worn in Scotland.

Can I get a Craig person to start posting?
