The Ed Maggiani Collection
The Bond Experience
Newtown, PAPosts: 5,490Quartermasters
What a way to spend an afternoon! Joe Darlington and I took a ride down to Ed Maggiani's home to see his incredible Bond collection. Ed, as most of you know, was collecting Bond since his debut in the movies and it shows! His knowledge and his collection are unrivaled...here are some pics of the fun. Thanks Ed!

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
it does look a bit like, a friendly gathering of mercenaries ) with there equipment and weapons...
like the L.A.W. Rocket ... you must have sneaked into a military base for that item... )

I'll be there! -{
It's great just to be able to see these items - so a very big 'thank you' from me for sharing.
I have to say that it looks as though you two had a real 'child in a sweet-shop moment' )
Glad everyone enjoyed the pics.
I truly wish you could all have been there. Afterall, what's the fun of having "cool" stuff if we can't share enjoying it.
Unfortunetly, I wasn't able to display all my other items as they were packed away and I didn't have time to get them unpacked before David & Joe got there....Oh well, something else to show the next time we can get together.
In answer to the above post....the Little Nellie helmet is a replica. The original screen-used helmet was stolen from Cmdr. Ken Wallis when it was on display in France. My replica is the same model helmet as well as the correct camera lens. Still need to make the cine cam.
Some of my other Bond props are in my photobucket at:

OH....Christof,
The wonderful Detonite replica you made was one of the items I mentioned as being packed away. Look to your mail soon for something I promised to send you.

I have been looking for one for some time to put my airsoft P99 in for display purposes.
I know several companies that sold them had a 2 week waiting period before they could get their orders filled. I would say that ebay might be the best way to go and even then...expect to pay a high price.
