Besides, about half the cars on the road are about as ugly, or even uglier, than this car. So if it meant my other car was a DBS, I'd drive this "thing" in a heartbeat.

Last year was a busy one for Aston Martin. After launching the Rapide sedan and the One-77 , this relatively small carmaker should have modest offerings in 2011. That said, the company will introduce its smallest and most fuel-efficient vehicle, called the Cygnet. The pint-sized Aston Martin isn't what you'd expect from the high-end automaker.

Based on the lowly Toyota iQ micro, the 2011 Aston Martin Cygnet is what would happen if you turned the company's engineers loose on your daily driver. The interior has been swaddled in hand-crafted amenities and the car now boasts very Aston front and rear fascias. Unfortunately the performance remains the same. Expect a tiny 1.3-liter engine with around 100 horsepower to be at the heart of the car.

Price: Around $33,000

i've seen a bodykit to convert a 'jaegwar' into a db9. epic fail.
now the work experience kid at gaydon has a go. facepalm...... fail.
why don't aston develop a v12 that runs on 6 cylinders while at idle, then kicks in the other 6 when you nail it?

ps, if the cygnet is made by toyota and AM, does that make it a (rotten) to-mart-a?

But as the guy who's gonna play Bond in #23 hasn't officially been announced yet and won't be for some years (FYI, it's Henry Cavill), I doubt the car he's gonna drive is even a spec of an idea in a designers mind.

Yeah I think that's what they be after, but without the OTT CR reboot/Bond begins crap; there are some people who don't really like/have had enough of Craig's Bond....
Hmm insider maybe lol, from what I was told Cavill looked very good in screen tests, and by the time 23 is filmed, who knows, Cavill will be within the right age range, they might age him a bit, like they did for PB in GE.
I love DCs 007 - really like him in the role. But since we don't know how long this bloody delay will go on for...

Oh My God! My Grandad must be turning in his grave... I can understand Aston M doing an enviromentally friendly car, but, well its horrible! You can't put the dynamics of a Range Rover onto a Mini, equally an Aston does not work as a a, well that!!
They should have designed something completely separate from the somewhat sporty yet aristocratic lineage of the DB's. I mean, Volkswagen have done cars like the Golf , the Passat and the new Touareg - which look nothing like the Beetle. - Either classic or modern version.
I need a solid drink after seeing that! Its the FAB 1 monstrosity from Thunderbirds movie (2004) all over again!
