Quick query - anyone know what type of dress shoes Brosnan is wearing during the Hamburg factory scenes? I assume they're Church's, but are they brogues? Monk? Oxford's?

Church's don't make Presleys anymore as far as I know - so the Westbury may well be the closest you will get to them now.

Charles Tyrwhitt makes an excellent pair of monk shoes ('Aldwych') which is pretty damned close to the Presley's, and I find them extremely durable.

He didn't wear Presleys in TND, only TWINE. He wore brogues and oxfords in TND but I can't recall the name... will get back to you on that

Wow, that's the one thing Remmert has ever gotten wrong. But I can say with 100% certainty that the Presleys were not used until TWINE.

Bondtoys and I have a love/hate relationship. He loves me, I hate him :v

I've seen one or two other sites which have made the claim that Presley's were in TND also. But I don't know if they're just copying what Remmert wrote (or the other way around). Either way, from what I'm seeing on the DVD it doesn't look like Brosnan was wearing monk shoes in the factory and car chase scenes. It looks more like some type of oxford or brogue, as Asp suggested.

I think people are going off Remmerts site, he added that info just when he was starting the site so probably has not thought anything about it since. I used to have a listing of the shoes and ties and shirts etc. from GE and TND, but they are buried beneath tons of crap somewhere. Churchs also did several ads for GE, TND and TWINE, and I remember when TWINE came out and that was the first time that Bond wore Presleys, the picture on Remmerts site is mine with my shoes and the ad from 1999.

I have a pair of shoes very similar to the Church's Presley. They are made my Alden Shoes in New England. Alden is probably the best shoe maker in the States.

Mine are in black cordovan but you can also get them in the traditional burgandy cordovan as well as a variety of colors in calf or suede.
