Well, here I am...

Well, after coming here June 19, this is my 1st post. I couldn't find an official introduction thread so I figured I'd start my own.

I am a huge 007 fan, I always enjoy watching a Bond film or reading a Bond novel. And my favorite actor is Pierce Brosnan. :)

I think that there is no such thing as a bad Bond movie. Period!

I think I will enjoy it here.

Thats ok, I', sure no-one will hold that against you ;)

In all seriousness though, what makes Brosnan your favourite? I've always liked him and Goldeneye is one of my favourites but I always felt a couple of his other films let him down slightly. Not that I don't enjoy them, but I don't think they're as good as some of the others.

That's fairly common among lifelong Bond fans, I think. The first Bond they saw---or the actor who was portraying Bond in their formative years---often has a profound and lingering effect on how they view the franchise as a whole, IMO...which is why Sean Connery, the originator of the role, generally has an unimpeachable edge among those who've been watching Bond since the character's cinematic inception.

It's one of those questions for which there really is no wrong answer, and it's also one of the principal reasons for the franchise's remarkable ability to reinvent itself, and move on in perpetuity B-)

    And welcome to AJB! {[]

My second favourite Bond, and the first Bond I saw at the cinemas; Brosnan was indeed brilliant. :D It's wonderful to meet a Brosnan fan; sadly, lately, we don't see too many of them. :#

Hi - you'll make friends and enemies very quickly with your declaration of Brosnan as your favourite. A lot of people hate him here... A lot of people have no class! Fortuanately Brosnan rates highly with me, as do three and a half of his films!

Now you're kissing it a bit! Everyone must have a Bond film they hate - mine is Moonraker. It's just awful. It was on one bank holiday weekend and I looked at my wife halfway through and said, "It's no good, this is just crap!" To which she replied, "Thank f**k for that!" And switched over. At least she'd sat quietly through it for me!
