Handmade 1/43 scale dioramas from vf-americars.de

Hi there!

Does this website vf-americars.de and the handmade dioramas they make ring a bell to anyone?

There are a few quite nice models though, but prices are skyhigh 499€ +...Yikes! The ending seen from movie OHMSS is

quite nice, beaten Aston Martin DBS from CS, blown up white Lotus Esprit Turbo from FYIO

and factory scene from Goldfinger.

Looking forward to see some comments concerning the prices and models itself, especially from Minigeff :D

cheers,

Teppo

cheers for the heads up teppo.

on first glance the models seem to be converted Spark models.

the TLD snow diorama is quite tacky, as is the DAD snowy vanquish.

biggest shock is the price. a bond type model is about £430!
    a bond diorama is £690!!!??!!

i think its very expensive stuff i could do for a fraction of the price. how the price is justified is beyond me. i guess a fool and his money..... ;)

ta anyway teppo, maybe after seeing this, i should be increasing my prices? lol

    Hey MG!

maybe you should increase your prices and show this particular website to your "customers" :D

And then say "Minigeff's Ultimate Bond Cars UK is offering these models with half a price, only £345 a piece." :D

Hoping to see your version of the "beaten Aston DBS from CR"

I'm working on my QoS chase sequence- project, DBS vs. Alfa 159TI, will post some pics when it's ready.

    Cheers,

    Gentlemen,
I thought the items were quite appealing and showed the website to a friend who is an "OUT OF CONTROL" Bond car collector. He was quite familiar with this dealer and has delt with him in the past (under a different website name).
Unfortunetly, he told me that he had to contact his credit card company because of the dealer not sending the items he had requested and even started ignoring his emails. He has also spoken to other collectors that have shared similiar stories about this dealer.
While I have personally never had any dealings with this dealer myself I am passing along this information to others thinking of making a purchase. My friend has said he would be willing to speak with anyone considering dealing with this person

It goes even deeper than that, and if you study the OHMSS diorama very closely you will understand that pictures look much better than the real thing.

Thanks for sharing this information, Ed. It's good to know, that someone covers you when you're about to do something as stupid as pay £690 for a Bond related diorama :D Anyway, i never even considered buying/ordering those models or dioramas from vf-americars. £690 a piece, no way...not gonna fall into that :D First of all, what comes to Bond car models, i like to make custom models by myself. I know, it's quite easy to buy "ready" model, but hardest thing is to make it look like as real as seen on the screen.
As MG said before, if he would make those models the prices would be only fraction of those prices. I'm not a professional model maker by myself, but what comes to Bond related cars and stuff, i try be as good and accurate as i can be :007)

Here in Finland, markets for Bond related items, cars, props, etc. are quite short, (we do have Corgi's and JBCC :D ) so i need to buy stuff'n materials etc. from overseas and international markets. We do have some local dealers selling Bond related items and car models, but their stock levels are so low and that's why the prices are too high.

I'm very happy with that i found this site and i've got a lots of back up and valuable information from you guys! {[]

I'll drink to that! -{ Cheers to all!
